Oh yes it does. It makes everything imported cost more. Even if you don't buy goods from abroad, all those raw material inputs: copper, steel, chips, wood, etc. cost more. inversely, a cheaper dollar helps exports, but in a tariff war that won't matter. The dollar is generally down but that doesn't really affect me much unless we are travelling
“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.” - Donald J. TrumpPushing into 3%?
When it "pushes" into Biden 9% give me a call.
Inflation was for some time, but rising again when Trump inherited and was back to 3 percent range, trump quickly reserved thatInflation was at a normal rate under the last year of Biden.
Trump promised to lower prices. He's breaking that promise.

Grocery prices aren’t at a 5 year low. So far this year, they’re up 0.6%.Inflation was for some time, but rising again when Trump inherited and was back to 3 percent range, trump quickly reserved that
No the rate is lower than what he inherited.
Gas prices down, grocery prices dropped to a five year low. Promises made, and kept
I get you are upset he’s not fixing all the messes he inherited fast enough, but remember you voted for all the messes to begin with
His average was 4.95%Liberals with 9% inflation under Biden: "Everything is fine. Don't worry."
Liberals with 3% inflation under Trump: "ZOMG THE WORLD IS ENDING"
All of it. All the parts. Why don't you answer the question? What part of what I said was untrue?
Looks like inflation is pushing into 3% territory. Core inflation was 2.9%.
The Consumer Price Index rose 2.7 percent from a year ago, the swiftest pace since February, data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed on Tuesday. That is slightly higher than expected and is up from an annual pace of 2.4 percent in May.
“Core” inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices and is seen as a reliable gauge for underlying price pressures, also shifted higher. Those prices were up 2.9 percent from the same time last year.
No way, struth always lies.Grocery prices aren’t at a 5 year low. So far this year, they’re up 0.6%.
Why did you lie?
Wasnt Trump elected to bring down prices? He’s increasing them.
So your outage is fake because TDS gotten a hold of your brain? It’s about the current inflation rate. If you want to talk about the inflation rate from 3 years ago, start a new thread.
2.9% inflation means prices are going up, not down.
LOL Inflation is only 3.4% now. It's normal. Is 3% inflation great?
We are still riding on Biden inflation. Trump is able to bring the numbers down but you are bitching. Have you stopped complaining about the price of eggs yet?Grocery prices aren’t at a 5 year low. So far this year, they’re up 0.6%.
Why did you lie?
Biden reamed the country for four years of inflation. All I heard from the media and Democrats were there's no inflation for four years. Suddenly a small percentage rise means the economy is crashing. Are leftists just willingly stupid or TDS prevent them from connecting 2+2?Inflation was 2.89% in Dec. 2024. It was 2.67% last month.
All the talk of tariffs and the crazy inflation spike is a big dud. Some of us already knew that.
Grocery prices aren’t at a 5 year low. So far this year, they’re up 0.6%.
Why did you lie?
Supply and demand are still major factors in pricing. I still bought all our mulch at the Home depot 5 for $10 spring sale this year just like I have done for years. If it had been 4 for $10 then I wouldn't still have a pile of extra bagged mulch in the back yard waiting for me to decide what to do with it. Likewise, it doesn't matter to me what Belk's pays for a polo shirt from wherever in Asia. They will sell it at a price I am willing to pay or they won't sell it to me. One of the benefits of having too much crap already is I can wait out a lot of things.Oh yes it does. It makes everything imported cost more. Even if you don't buy goods from abroad, all those raw material inputs: copper, steel, chips, wood, etc. cost more. inversely, a cheaper dollar helps exports, but in a tariff war that won't matter.
No one can roll their eyes to to the level needed to dismiss such blatant hypocrisy and idiocy.“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.” - Donald J. Trump
Remember when you all bitched and moaned about grocery and gas prices?
Trumpflation is not bringing those prices down. It is increasing them.
U.S. Inflation Accelerated in June as Trump’s Tariffs Pushed Up Prices
Gasoline prices rose 1 percent in June, after falling 2.6 percent the previous month. Grocery prices also rose, ticking up by 0.3 percent in June, or 2.4 percent from the same time last year.
"Groceries. It says a bag with different things in it." - Donald J. Trump
