The MAYOR of NYC asked for the crack-down on looseys.. Police do what they're TASKED to do... Seems like the MAYOR is more interested in his captive cig tax revenue than what steps the cops take to ENFORCE his edicts...

Same deal in Ferguson that built up the hate and animousity towards the police.. City had an average of 3.5 WARRANTS PER HOUSEHOLD... A large number of which were outdated, inaccurate, or pure bogus... Citizens needed DAYS of work to clear these.. People got arrested and escalated and escalated thru the justice system for trying to pay a portion of fines by MAIL and having it returned...
And the COPS just treated every warrant as a reason to haul people in...

Justice reform is making MUNICIPAL legal systems easier to navigate and more ACCURATE. It means serving the economically vulnerable with a better interface for clearing warrants and court appearances. It means BUSTING the symbiotic relationships between Civic UNIONS -- ALL OF THEM -- and the elected leadership.. NOT DECRIMINALIZING shoplifting and property destruction/theft. NOT "defunding" the police..

City govts MORE FOCUSED on plastic bags, sanctuary arrangements, smoking, and Big Gulps than they are in DOING policing or education oversight..

If you just mail in speeding tickets, it becomes SIMPLY a "money issue".. There's never a real CHANGE in the behavior.. And the "rich" can AFFORD to speed... Besides, "checking priors" when you pull someone over has more to do with the outcome of whether you get ticketed or NOT... And that's a GOOD thing... Otherwise, you treat the speeding ticket the SAME as you treat folks with other DRIVING offenses...

Again. All people who have been abused by the police/corrections/judicial fiefdom over many years need a voice. Whether it is over the internet or forms or any other way. They need to be able to file a complaint or more against any government organization that wronged them and used private businesses to do the same. Then the healing will be more far along. People involved must be punished and financial payouts made. This will not be a nice thing. A lot of skeletons are in many closets. This will affect their families as they have affected other families. If you notice, no one empowered or passed messages along has stood up to take responsibility for abuses. All that toughness and they take knees and wash feet. The call other people pu**ies and sissies. Damn! How the mighty have fallen. The semi rural and rural areas are not innocent. They are just hiding a bit more. And the good people are always included with the bad. That is a shame.
