There are two reasons Conservatives are so upset by police, elected officials and professional athletes kneeling in protest.

One reason is Conservatives believe no one should kneel in protest. That there ultimately is no form of peaceful protest that can be accepted. Police, elected officials and professional athletes cede their right to protest while serving the cause they are assigned.

The other reason is Conservatives think that there is not racism behind any police brutality. If a Black person dies as a result of an encounter with police, they got what they damn well deserved. The best way for a Black person to survive a police encounter is to comply and stop being so damn uppity.

So, which is the reason you find kneeling so objectionable? There is no such thing as acceptable protest or Blacks cause their own deaths at the hands of the police?

Are all police racists, thugs and indiscriminately users or excessive, lethal force?

Is there a method or act of protest you might tolerate? Kneeling? Marching? Rallies?

Should protesters be confronted by armed cadres bearing no badge, no unit identification, no name tags?

I don't know. Did the police beat any peaceful protesters yesterday is the real question along with are they going to beat any peaceful protesters tomorrow and the day after, etc.. There is a difference between peaceful and violent protest (also known as rioting) and I have no problem with peaceful and agree completely that the dumb assed Chauvin should not have murdered the dumb assed check forgery suspect without thought or care of the consequences of his actions. It was just wrong. Giving up the a self righteous feeling of empowerment that you are paid to keep people under your thumb, beat sh*t out of people to keep them in "their place" (as it ain't the job and is against the law), or kill them if you feel like it (as it is against the law) is not too much to demand of your rank and file employees. After all, if you are not willing to advocate to give law enforcement the right to judge, convict, punish or kill on their own recognizance, right there on the side of the street or in sleeping citizens bedrooms, you should have no problem standing or kneeling with your fellow citizens that say it is wrong and should be stopped.
