The kneeling is a simulation, a reenactment of the officer taking a knee on Floyd's neck. A show of solidarity for the submit and surrender breed of law enforcement and National Guard. Kneeling in hopes their surrender will end the violence. Appease the enemy and the enemy will eat you alive, bones and all.
The enemy happens to be American citizens availing themselves of their constitutional rights.
There's more in that pesky constitution than the 2nd amendment.
Burning, looting and killing isn't part of the Constitution............
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Which begs the questions: are all protesters looters and rioters?
Are all police racists, thugs and indiscriminately users or excessive, lethal force?
Is there a method or act of protest you might tolerate? Kneeling? Marching? Rallies?
Is it convenient to paint protesters with a broad brush, or do you recognize the need of protesters to protest?
Should protesters be confronted by armed cadres bearing no badge, no unit identification, no name tags?
