Contraception is a lifestyle choice? But Viagra is for a "medical condition"?

Viagra Is For A Medical Condition, Birth Control Is A "Lifestyle Choice"

Can this distinction really be made with a straight face? Why?

The use of Viagra for recreational purposes is not a medical condition.

Inability to father a child may well be a medical condition but Viagra only would be a potentially appropriate medication until pregnancy is achieved.

But then there is the more important (though off-label) use. Administered to the elderly male 1/2 hour before bedtime it minimizes the chance of rolling out of bed and suffering serious and expensive injury.

Probably because it's a fact, would be my guess. As you don't "DO" facts I can understand your confusion.

Confused? That laughter isn't confusion. It's laughter directed at you.

Birth control pills may also be prescribed to reduce menstrual cramps or prevent anemia.

We call those "medical conditions".

Yes, birth control is for promiscuous women. Viagra is for men who can't get it up.

What are they getting it up for if not "promiscuous women"?

Some, your parents for example, might have found it medically beneficial in producing a child. Now why they might have wanted to do that is a psychiatric issue - on the brighter side, no longer need be suffered since it's covered by Obamacare.

Yes, they can. Thanks for playing. Now would you care to show us how taking Viagra prevents childbirth.

They didn't need Viagra. But they did use birth control. Seems they liked to have sex with each other and didn't want another kid every time they "did it".

I can show you how NOT taking Viagra prevents childbirth.

I enjoy the lefts attempts at making up controversial subjects and issues.

Its like that whole "Insurance crisis" lie they had going a few years ago, where they needed to lie about the argument and claim it was something it was not.

Too funny.

Again, for you leftists. If you pay for it, birth control or viagra, then it isn't an issue.

However, if you expect others to pay for medications, then you are in the wrong.

As I understand it, Viagra simply increases blood flow throughout the body, including but not limited to the penis. Any number of things could be going on where improving blood flow is a legitimate medical solution.

But redefining how we think about science by way of how we think about politics is a really bad idea. 'Lifestyle choice' or not, Viagra and female birth control exist and is made possible to improve qualify of life for everyone. Using political definitions though is dumb. It's medicine and science, period. Wanna use them for political ammunition go ahead. Don't cry about it though when eventually science is overruled more and more by political leaders instead of medical experts and other scientists. Reap what you sow.
