Ten GOP lawmakers joined all House Democrats last month in voting to impeach Trump, charging him with inciting the deadly mob attack on the Capitol.

Since then, at least six have been censured or rebuked by state or local Republican parties, with some now facing primary challenges for 2022.

I am sure that Sen. Sasse could explain it that way . But if senator has no respect for his base and the base realizes it, his political future is severely limited.

It would be best for Sasse to turn D now, than to wait until the margin between the D's and R's isn't so narrow- when neither side would want him.

If the R's were to gain or lose a couple of seats- either way- they'd throw his ass out of the caucus.

I'm loving it!!! Lincoln County Nebraska censured Ben Sasse. All 13,000 Republicans in Lincoln County have lost old Ben's vote.

Similarly, the 16,000 Republicans in Cass County are in a tizzy as well.

Compared to the hundreds of thousands who have left the Republican Party Completely since Trump refused to accept the results of the election, this is puppy shit. Republicans who hold Trump accountable have a chance of redeeming their party. A slim chance but a chance. Those who refuse to cut out the racist, white supremacist, crazy cult of Trump will watch the further diminishment of the GOP.

Republicans have fucked themselves, and I for one could not be happier for them. It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.
