I just from my own personal experience can see the validity in that.
I come from a primarily conservative and white area. Sure we have our share of lazy dumbass people. But for the most part everyone here is level headed, nothing crazy happens, it's mostly quite a safe area, no big drug problems, no shootings ever in my 45 years here, no trannies not that I care, everyone minds their own business pretty much.
I live in a red state and around here people work, they pay their bills, everyone mostly follows the rules and while there are liberal views around here most people still desire rules and values. This is also a blue collar state which means most people in this state work and a lot of people here work hard jobs.
I've seen where if you work hard, you follow the rules, you value rules that keep people free but at the same time in line with eachother, if you push on kids the value of education, and you also don't let your kids grow up soft then you will have a more mentally fit community.
