Consequences of Trump win starting to occur?

Why wouldn't Biden poison the free trade pond, to leave Trump with big issues to deal with on China and Russia?

After Trump comes back to earth on the reality of fkng around with a more powerful China, it's a pretty safe bet that he will become the champion of free and fair trade.

And too with Russia, he's got Biden's clusterfk against Russia to use as a good example of picking a fight against countries that aren't third world pushovers!

Did you even read the article I posted? This is the 3rd or 4th time the Biden admin has done this since they were installed in 2021.

Sorry man, sick and tired of living in a country with declining quality of life, rising corruption, and no prospects for young people.

"American Exceptionalism." Literally an insane belief held by neo-cons and many neo-liberals that the US just...doesn't have to follow rules. It's just exempt from them because...it is.
Well it worked for quite a few years following a world war that set the stage for America.

But that was then and this is now.

Trump doesn't need to suffer the political blowback and humiliation for changing his mind. He's known to already do that on his dumb ideas.

China bans exports to US of gallium, germanium, antimony in response to chip sanctions proposed by Trump

BANGKOK (AP) — China announced Tuesday it is banning exports to the United States of gallium, germanium, antimony and other key high-tech materials with potential military applications, as a general principle.

The ratcheting up of trade restrictions comes as President-elect Donald Trump has been threatening to sharply raise tariffs on imports from China and other countries, potentially intensifying simmering tensions over trade and technology.

What are these high-tech materials and how much do we import of these from China?

The US relies on imports for 82% of its antimony demand, with China being the largest supplier at 63%. The US currently stockpiles only 1,100 tonnes (t) of antimony, although its consumption in 2023 was 23,000t.

Antimony has many uses, including:
  • Hardening lead
Antimony is a key ingredient in lead storage batteries, where it hardens the lead.

  • Flame retardant
Antimony oxide is used to make textiles, plastics, rubber, adhesives, pigments, and paper fire resistant.

  • Alloys
Antimony is mixed with other metals to create alloys used in solder, sheet and pipe metal, motor bearings, castings, and pewter.

    • Electronics
Antimony is used in semiconductors, such as infrared detectors and diodes.
    • Military applications
Antimony is used in night vision goggles, explosive formulations, flares, nuclear weapons production, and infrared sensors.
    • Brake linings
Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) is a component of brake linings.
    • Special glasses
Sodium antimonate, a compound containing antimony, is used in certain special glasses, mostly solar PV glass.
    • Fining agent
Antimony ions interact with oxygen to suppress the tendency of oxygen to form bubbles

    • We can now expect to see higher prices for the items than use Antimony and expect to see lower security as Antimony is used greatly in armed offense and defense products! All thanks to Trump!

They don't care. They just want revenge (for whatever has victimized them so badly), and that's all that matters.

When Trump can change his mind on abortion and killing babies, trade relations should be easier!

A friend of mine has cousins who are soy bean farmers in KS. Their biz was severely harmed during trump's first foray with tariffs. They had to be bailed out with costly subsidies. I understand they're on pins and needles thanks to Baby Donald.

You are a filthy liar, the thread is a lie, what the Chinese did was in response to what the BIDEN ADMIN did on Monday. 🤡

/thread
Which is something that all Trumpers want and BIDEN did it. Then again, Trump IS GOING TO MAKE IT WORSE and this happened AFTER Trump announced what he was going to do, meaning it was a TWO-FOLD reaction to BOTH Biden AND Trump

Why aren't you bashing Biden then, asshole? It was the Biden admin that caused the blowback you're crying about idiot. 🤡

You should protest by moving to a country more in keeping with you politics.

Venezuela is nice and warm this time of year, too.
No, I am a patriot and a fighter. I will fight anyone that is going to hurt my nation (Trump, for example).

In addition, my family is here and I will fight for them as well. I am not a selfish person, I am not looking for things to be better for ME!

You are a fucking brainless Trump ass kissing asshole.

I have NEVER said that Tariffs on China are bad. I have said that raising tariffs without considering the consequences and doing the things needed to be done to protect our interests, our economy and without causing inflation is a NOT A GOOD thing.

Here is the real data about what Biden has done"
Trump implemented sweeping tariffs on about $300 billion of Chinese-made products when he was in office. President Joe Biden has kept those tariffs in place and, after the USTR finished a multiyear review earlier this year, decided to increase some of the rates on about $15 billion of Chinese imports. That is less than 5% of what Trump did.

The products that will now face increases are in line with Biden’s other economic policies aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing in industries including clean energy and semiconductor chips.

“Today’s finalized tariff increases will target the harmful policies and practices of the People’s Republic of China that continue to impact American workers and businesses,” US Trade Representative Katherine Tai said in a press release.

$15 billion vs $300 Billion (small raise versus what Trump did). In addition, Trump wants to ADDITIONALLY raise Tariffs as much as 60% but at least 25%, meaning anywhere from $75 Billion to as much as $240 billion and much of that is being done not to help our nation (his original tariffs did more damage than good) but as revenge. He is not looking to help and protect our economy, our businesses, or our inflation but is looking to go to economic war with China, meaning we ALL lose (including you and I).

Why don't you fucking get a brain and study the information before you open you shitty mouth. Asshole.

Another triggered snowflake gets his posterior handed to him. Please work on your vocabulary. Trump is YOUR president and you're a traitor if you don't support him. Your claim in post #55 proves you are a fascist traitor. I bet you were in the front of the line calling for the lynching of those J6 rioters.
