Congress Keeps Reichstag Fire Burning

89 years ago, the Nazis used the pretext of conspiracy by Jews/dissidents to set the German Parliament (Reichstag) on fire in order to suspend the civil rights of German citizens and establish martial law over that country for the next 12 years. Today we have a near duplicate of that power grab by the Democrats in Congress by claiming that the Jan. 6 protests at the Capitol were a conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States and threaten democracy itself.

What will result from the "hearings" we are now witnessing? Are they just the latest in a series of political stunts carried out by the Democrats, or is there something more sinister at work? We have barely five months to find out whether free and fair elections will be allowed to throw them out of power. At a minimum, I expect these hearings to be used as the basis for a criminal complaint to be filed against Donald Trump in order to further smear his reputation and, if he is convicted, bar him from running for President in 2024.

But why stop there? If this conspiracy theory to overthrow the U.S. government can gain enough political traction, why not take additional steps to defend democracy by outlawing certain political parties and candidates from running in the upcoming elections and/or invalidating the results? Better yet, why not impose federal control over elections in certain states that are deemed to be racially insensitive? It has happened before and will happen again.

The Nazicrats have already attempted to use their Crazy Jan6 Insurrection Conspiracy to prevent at least two Republican candidates from running for office.

They have been trying to pass this act since the OKC bombing in the 1990's. It strips constitutional rights, without due process, from any Americans, that any administration decides.

In essence, it creates a police state, and creates enemies of the State, of American citizens. The deep state pushed for it heavily after 911 too, but the ACLU spoke out against it.
