Brings to mind the requirements the democrats in WA have for picking up trash from the side of the roads in the 'adopt a highway' program. It is much easier to vote than to pick up trash.

If any government workers are working without pay, i.e. a "shutdown", congressmen and senators should not get paid either.

I'd take it one step further. I would actually use Congressional pay to fund any government shutdown workers and then the Congress critters can get their back pay when the shutdown ends.

While probably most of us think that, we do have live within reality. I'd like to think that what they actually do do isn't really worth even minimum wage because they don't really do anything. It's nothing but a partisan bickering room that doesn't accomplish anything.
