Zone1 Should Essential Services like TSA be privatized?

Yet- wait for it - in the 22 years since the TSA was established, there hasn't been another incident of hijacking or terrorism on the airlines, has there?

The TSA is a bargain.
Give us some statistics on how many terrorist the TSA has stopped.

Because Democrats refuse to fund the TSA unless people can show up at polls without voter ID, Americans are waiting as long as 4 hours in TSA lines.

Should we remove the “leverage” (Dems have used that word) that Congress has to cause such havoc to Americans by privatizing these types of essential services?

Make sure those workers keep at the same wage or higher if privatized. Also give more vacation time thats a burnout job. Ensure the head makes the same wage as the workers do.

You want the CEO of Airline Security Safety Corp, overseeing operations at 100+ airports and thousands of workers, and having Direct Reports such as VP of Operations and VP of Finance, to get paid the same as the person who says “put your crap in the tray….your jacket, too”?!

Um, the reason the TSA was Federalized was that the airlines went cheap, hired Minimum-Wage Mall Cops who just let Mohammed Atta and his crew walk onto the planes with box cutters.

It is telling isn’t it?

The same MAGA folks who are aghast that Iran isn’t playing by our rules of warfare didn’t learn the lesson of Vietnam when they didn’t play by our rules. Iran learned the lesson of history...they didn’t.

Now they want to go back to pre-9/11 mall cops.

Our local sewage and wastewater management company was privatized in the late 70's. The bills are astronomically high and since the pandemic they have doubled and continue to go up. We asked them about this and they told us that they want to expand into other neighborhoods and municipalities so they need this money to fund it. They basically admitted that they are using us to fund their own expansion. The company gets a Google rating of 1.4 out of five. No surprise.

Why do we even need TSA? Before it came along, flying was a pleasure. Since, it is a huge very unpleasant experience.

It resulted from the false flag event on 11 September. That means its existence is both fraudulent and unconstitutional.

Yep, why the airlines don’t own it is ridiculous

"essential" and "privatized" do not belong in the same conversation, much less sentence.

They wouldn't be funding them if it was privatized either. It still has to be paid for as part of the budget.
