As usual, delusional. Prior to Covid NYC had seen the greatest economic expansion it had seen in decades. Covid smacked them hard and due to loss of office space, they have yet to fully recover. It is easy to understand why Trump, and Republicans, like to disparage NYC, and worse, or more than willing to punish them for their mere vote.Think about it. For the past 24 years, the city of NY has done everything in its power to cripple itself as both an entertainment capital, a news capital, and now the business capital of the world, dissing all the people who built the city in lieu of a bunch of foreigners and invaders, many with towels wrapped around their heads not even speaking english.
Wonder how long it will take 75% of the people of NYC to realize they've f*@ked themselves in favor of a foreign coup. I know on good authority that the other 95% of the state upstate from NYC is already looking for another state to adopt them, they want no part of NYC.
Democrats have gotten perspective: why lose at trying to seize an entire country via Biden when you can take it one blue city at a time.
NYC has the world's largest foreign born population, as a percentage of residents. It is a special place. The term "melting pot" literally comes from some of the neighborhoods on the Lower East Side. Over 800 languages spoken, again, the most of any city in the entire world. But the other part, density, a highly diverse population living on top of each other. They have to make it work, together. We should all take lessons from that, not disparage it.
Never been there. But my sister just up and left, dropped out of college, got on a train, went to NYC. A dancer. Well, that didn't work out. An actress. That didn't work out either. A singer, well that one, it actually stuck. She spent seven years there, completely off the books, never filed a tax return, mostly bar-tending in a German restaurant in the garment district. She worked the club circuit, blues.
One of the first dates I had with my wife, watching Sis perform at a local bar. Her return home tour, LOL. But as soon as my future wife steps out of the car you can hear Sis. The damn building is shaking and this gravel like voice is growling "Mustang Sally". Doorman just nods as we pass the line. The place is on fire. But the real point, Sis's time in NYC was like a Phd fellowship. She turned the knowledge she gained into a successful business, like crazy successful.
The thing is, NYC is, by far, the number one entry point for LEGAL immigration into the United States. Yes, LEGAL. Should not we be embracing that?
Trump won EVERY swing state AND the national popular vote AFTER Democrats threw everything and the kitchen sink at the guy, raided his home, tried to put him in prison, then tried to assassinate him, twice. That's getting your ass whooped.
