You COULD have had a battle tested nominee that was chosen by the rank and file of the Democrat party.

But the Powers That Be didn't trust you to pick "their" candidate.

So they took that decision away from you.

Hopefully you take the correct factions to task and perhaps make a more democratic Democrat party.

That's my honest assessment.

I agree with MOUS said. What the FAR LEFT did to regular Democrats in this election, is unconscionable. I believe that there are many points that the GOP and regular Democrats can agree on, we just disagree on how to implement them.

Not so with the FAR LEFT who has hosed ALL Americans, and tried to get both GOP and Regular Democrats to vote against their own interests by painting Trump as anything but human so as they would vote for CRAZY POLICIES.

Regular Democrats need to start flexing their political muscle, to get these radicals at least away from creating policy going forward; but to be honest, try and eject them from the Democratic base.

Maybe the smart politicians in the DNC told them no way in hell, not against Trump, and not with just a few months to make their case.




I just can't see those politicians leaving their current gig to spoil their political image (such that it is with folks in the middle,) with a truncated run for the ring of power.

Trump clearly overperformed and his ground game was very strong. As I watched the results come in Kornacki kept mentioning that Trump was beating the 2020 numbers he put up against Biden in counties he lost in 2020, showing that Harris was not getting the same results as Biden was getting 4 years earlier, and I pretty much knew before I went to bed that Trump would win.

I do believe a good candidate would have beaten Trump, and it did not have to be anyone particularly gifted, but Harris did not inspire anyone. Trump inspired millions to vote for, and against him. I do believe American democracy is in for a serious stress test, time will tell if it passes the test.

Let's face the truth. This was all set in motion four years ago when Biden proclaimed that his VP would be a DEI hire, not because the person was the best choice or had the best qualifications. Then, after Biden's sorely bad debate performance after he had already won the primary, Democrats had no choice but to put up the DEI hire as the nominee at the last minute because if they didn't their DEI hire was going to scream discrimination at the top of her lungs and would not have just gone away quietly and dem's hypocrisy would have been on full display. It didn't have to be that way but it was, all due to DEI. It came back to bite them in the ass.

This was the perception of a majority of Americans, there is no doubt. One can doubt and debate whether or not this perception is largely accurate or largely inaccurate, but I agree that a majority of Americans were in complete agreement with what I quoted you saying.

I'm just using my own best judgement of the situation.

I saw Biden in decline in 2020.

I honestly don't think the Democrat Establishment (heretofore labelled 'they') really wanted Biden in 2020. That's why he didn't get the nod in 2016.

But after Clinton lost catastrophically, they couldn't keep him out.

IMO, they want Kamala way back then...but Tulsi blew up her campaign in 90 seconds, and Joe won and they were stuck with him.

So they stashed Biden in a basement and kept him insulated from a at best compliant...at worst complicit...Legacy Media.

And lo and behold...he won...with a lot of help from COVID, ballot harvesting and the shadow campaign.

Now what?

If it is revealed that Biden is really in mental decline, just like Republicans said...then it looks like Democrats and the media were covering it up.

And Biden beat Trump once from the basement...he could do it again. IOW...if it ain't broke, don't risk trying to fix it. What seemed a cover up became an overt cover up.

Until it became obvious that the cat was out of the bag and worst of all Trump was trouncing Biden.

Had the Powers That Be come clean when it became apparent Biden wasn't competent to be the leader of the free world...then they could have had a vigorous nomination process.
