How is it that tariffs are passed on to the US consumer and yet corporate tax hikes are not? Did you ever stop to think about that or are you just regurgitating the economic blather from the left?

How are tariffs different to corporate tax hikes?

Both of them put added costs onto the consumer. Tariffs will impact goods coming from outside of the US. If you're not a corporation in the US but you sell, like say, a Chinese company, then it will cost you way more to get your product into the US.

That might mean you don't sell to the US any more. The US relies on cheaper labor because wages in the US are not cheap. Trump thinks this will lead to more jobs in the US. Maybe, but instead of a small increase, you'd be looking at a huge one.

Imagine you want to buy some tat from China, you're paying wages of $400 a month for an employee. In the US that might be $1,500 a month. The cheaper products are going to be so expensive the poorer people wouldn't be able to actually afford to buy them.
