Columbian "Actress" Living in LA Gets Arrested

Just the fact that you have to qualify her journalism as "not legal," shows me, that you are aware it is protected speech.

The only, "illegal journalism," is leaking information illegally obtained.

Actually, courts have ruled that even if illegally obtained, information CAN be published. (NY Times Co. vs United States, the Pentagon Papers case)

Most of that information was provided by Newsweek, and the article was rated by the readers as having a far left bias.

Where do you want the information to come from?

He does not care, as long as it has the "facts" he wants.

Why?

Your reasoning is circular. She should be kicked out beause she is an illegal, but her only "crime" is being here without documentation. Probably. Because you haven't shown me that she didn't have documentation.

She was convicted of DUI. (This is not in dispute.) That in and of itself should have gotten her booted.

I believe she is here illegally.

Either you don't, or you don't think that is a good reason to kick this criminal out.

Whatever.

I have seen how you make excuses to support criminals on this site for a very long time.

You don't even believe we should lock folks up that are in possession of illegal weapons for a very long time. . . why? Your claim is there enough prison room.

Well then? We need to build a lot more prisons. For you? That solution is unacceptable, you would rather just give that tax payer money directly to the criminals.

We have already had this conversation.

I know why and how the Roman Empire fell, like many other nations before and after it. You don't give a shit about history. . . so I either conclude you are monumentally stupid, or just don't care if society disintegrates.

On this issue, we have not a lot more to talk about.

Do you have evidence she was undocumented, or are you just accepting ICE word for it.

If you can be arrested for making TikTok videos the government doesn't like, is this still America?
A pattern of doxing specifically aimed at the harassment of law enforcement is a violation of federal law; And it's probably a violation of most state law too.

I believe she is here illegally.

That's nice. Where's your evidence?

Either you don't, or you don't think that is a good reason to kick this criminal out.

I don't know if she is undocumented or not. I don't think making Tik Toks ICE doesn't like is a criminal offense worthy of throwing someone out of the country.

Whatever.

I would rather we had economic opportunities so people won't resort to crime.

The rest of the industrialized world has figured this out.

We have already had this conversation.
Yes, and you are still a crazy person.

I know why and how the Roman Empire fell, like many other nations before and after it. You don't give a shit about history. . . so I either conclude you are monumentally stupid, or just don't care if society disintegrates.

Uh, I have a degree in history, and I could probably name more Roman Emperors than you can.

Rome didn't disintegrate because of immigration. It disintegrated because its entire system was based on conquest, and when they were eventually hemmed in and couldn't conquer anything else, their system started to disintegrate.

That's nice. Where's your evidence?
Already presented, you don't accept it.

There is no more need to have a discussion.

I already win.

Those with evidence, always beat those without any.

Now? If you have countervailing evidence which contradicts the evidence already given in the thread, we can then go on to the task of evaluating the veracity of both pieces of evidence.

As you have given none, the default is on me and the evidence I have given as assumed correct.

Too bad for you I guess.

Already presented, you don't accept it.
Right, because they seem to not have presented a lot of data.

When did she enter the country?
Did she have a green card?
If she got a DUI in 2022, why didn't anyone remove her then?

I already win.
I'm sure that's what the voices in your head say. They have medications for that now.

"DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek that Martinez was arrested because of a prior DUI conviction in Los Angeles. . . "

<snip>

". . . Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek: "On August 15, ICE arrested Leidy Tatiana Mafla-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Colombia who was convicted for driving under the influence in Los Angeles. This criminal illegal alien entered the country in 2022 and was RELEASED by the Biden administration. During her arrest, Martinez claimed to experience shortness of breath. She was given proper medical treatment and will be held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings."

She entered in 2022.

I do not know when she was given the DUI.

The reason she was not removed when she entered is obvious to most, Biden and Mayorkas were running the show at that time.

Likewise, if the DUI is a local thing, California has policies to not get rid of criminals here illegally. Why is this so hard for you to get?

There is no information as to whether she had a green card, so the answer to that is probably not, or we would have heard about it....

<snip>

Why didn't they remove her in 2022? Oh, that's right, because a DUI isn't a big ******* deal.

She got arrested because she said mean things about the ICE Gestapo.

Also, given your long history of not trusting the government and supporting just about every batshit conspiracy theory there is, you seem to be awful quick to take the government at its word.

Why didn't they remove her in 2022?
Obviously because she was nailed in California. Biden wasn't even removing murders and rapists. . . I'd ask if you are really this dumb, but I already know the answer to that.
Oh, that's right, because a DUI isn't a big ******* deal.
If you aren't a citizen, and feel you can risk killing US citizens? It sure as hell is.

Biden removed more people than Trump did in his first term, and Trump is falling far behind in removals despite all the garbage he is pulling. (Now they are claiming people are "Self-deporting. No, really!"

If you aren't a citizen, and feel you can risk killing US citizens? It sure as hell is.
Then we should lock up anyone who gets a DUI by that logic.

Why just pick on the immigrants?

Or here's a crazy idea. We give the immigrants the exact same punishment we give citizens.

Biden removed more people than Trump did in his first term
I don't doubt it, since he let in ten thousand times more, he had a lot to choose from.

Why just pick on the immigrants?
They aren't immigrants, they are illegals who need their asses kicked out of the country.

We don't need that sort of riff raff, we already have enough of those types that are citizens.

I don't doubt it, since he let in ten thousand times more, he had a lot to choose from.

Obviously, math is something you are challenged with.

Here, let me help you out.

Translation- they aren't white enough for you
OK, we are seriously done now.

I don't want to have a discussion with a racist.

"In the realm of logic and discourse, few tactics are as pervasive yet insidious as the straw man fallacy. This deceptive argumentative strategy not only distorts opponents’ views but also undermines constructive dialogue by simplifying complex issues into caricatures that can be easily attacked."

if you inform a criminal, thst law enforcement is coming for them, you are an accomplice
That is a reasonable interpretation.

I don't think they have gone after anyone with that interpretation yet though.

But that approach would certainly abridge any first amendment concerns.

Notice the car he was driving. He’s making a lot of money somehow for someone not allowed to work in the USA.
