We have always had crazies, and we dealt with them with varying success. The problem today is we want to break the degrees of crazy into politically useful pigeonholes to curtail the freedoms of non crazies in an attempt to "fix" it. Correct, it's where the LE and FBI puts it together that we have to watch very closely to maybe avoid some more social engineering. That's how we got the Patriot Act and the border constitution limited zones and red flag no knock drama.
