Seems he was a transient in CDA. Has relatives in Priest River. He's been in N. ID since 2024. Not much more is known.

The shooter was 20. Gender confused. Current presser is naming the firefighters. One was a Capt. and Nat'l Guard veteran. The two fatalities were from two different agencies--Coeur d'Alene FD and Kootenai County FD. Names are Morrison and Hartwood. RIP.

He was clearly angry enough to become another shooter and he had to know that the odds of suriviving would be against him.

Much more often than not, his parents' input on his need to kill will be a factor.

There's an obvious similarity to Ms. Babbitt, with the difference being that Babbitt was stopped before she could kill.

It's a very good reason for arming fire fighters, as if they face the same risk as cops.

This is a very tough issue that should not be. The immigration act of 1965 or so is different than the number of illegals let in. This destroys nations. And we have not done much to raise the wages here also over the years as we were told when we rid ourselves of production that the service economy would cover that and more. It has not or is uneven. One of the reason for exempting taxes on tips.

It goes beyond mental problems also. The intellectuals have helped to cause this. We see them as self-serving defenders of the realm commentators on TV as there are many of them as an example. The intellectual era is slowly ending as the violence rises. A new era of the warrior class is arising as those who are of the builder era are not ready to take charge as the corruption has made them stagnant enough to not produce enough employment to satisfy the masses. Our military/industrial complex is a disgrace. We should have another 100 naval vessels for what we paid on the seas as an example. The good news is that the ones who sold us out are living great lives.

That's a lot to unpack. You grazed the tree a few times but I do think you missed the target.

Violence is on the decline and it is much lower than it was in the 70's-90's but you are right about people, particularly the working class, being far less satisfied and less optimistic about their outcomes. The rise in 2020 of violence can be attributed to this dissatisfaction boiling over and shows the tenuousness of society.

Employment isnt the issue. Compensation is the issue. There are not enough requirements to employers to produce a satisfied worker anymore. No pensions, easy to downsize at-will, expensive benefits partially paid by workers, no employer loyalty to workers, gig work replacing guaranteed work, and the list goes on and on and on.

Its the owners, not the elite, causing this. Sometime they are both but always the owner class.
