CNN: Shutdown poll is bad for democrats

I take issue with your word choice, He is merely pointing out the DEMs are doing this to their own voters by refusing to fund the government. Your TDS is affecting your perception again.
No. I just cannot find anybody that can say what the republican plan to help with healthcare for the millions, getting ready to lose it, if the CR passes, as is. Perhaps you can. I have been hearing the myth of the republican plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, since 2016, but nobody has ever seen it. I can understand, how MAGA folk would like to see people without healthcare in the streets and in the emergency rooms, if small rural hospitals, can even keep their doors open, much less have emergency rooms. Some people think the Repubican healthcare plan is just a made up lie, but I wouldn't call every single Republican a bold face liar, simply trying to fund tax breaks for people that obviously make tons of money, even while the government funded the Affordable Care Action, producing more Americans with actual healthcare coverage than any other time in history. But, if you want to keep the government shut down, rather than continue to assist healthcare for the poor, that's your bag. Own it.

Why are they losing healthcare? What programs are being cut? Let's get down to specifics. Who is losing their healthcare and why? Can you tell us that first?

We'll consider the rest of your deflection later, after we prove your assumptions are all wrong.

The GOP is up in the polls.

Keep dying on Shutdown Hill, Dems. :auiqs.jpg:

The most absolute dumbest thing is that this is about showing their base they will stand up to Trump, even if they lose. The standing up is all that matters, not the bottom line. What good is it if you stand up to Trump and lose? I just don't get it.

If the enhanced premium credits are allowed to expire, it leads to an average increase in premiums of 114%, forcing them out of the system, due to dramatic increases in cost. There are millions of people in the system, that will no longer be able to afford health insurance. All to keep a large tax break for people with average incomes of $379,261. The Republicans shit on the low income people, who often work a full-time job and a part, or 2 part-time jobs, just to keep the rent paid, lights on and food on the table.

Can any Democrat or "not Democrat" explain how the shutdown will save people who buy from exchanges instead of job provided health plans from paying more of their own healthcare premiums due to the end of the temporary COVID supplemental subsidy?

Federal workers lose their paychecks, nonworkers lose their SNAP and WIC, the military families start eating in the mess halls, unions demand the clean CR be signed, fedemps stage sickouts, but then, all of a sudden . . . what?

Where did you get that 114% figure?

114% of $100 is $114. An increase of $14.

A 114% increase would make it $214. Which figure is correct? Do you even know? Or are you just guessing? Where did you get these numbers? Got a link?

The only thing being eliminated are the COVID subsidies. They are not anywhere near as large as the media is making them out to be, or people would basically be paying nothing towards their healthcare at present.

Where is this tax break? There were no tax breaks for the rich in the OBBB. Did you invent this on your own are you getting it from the Democrat propaganda machine?

Why can't all of this be hashed out after the CR is passed? I'll tell you. DEMS have no power and cannot get what they want passed except to hold the nation hostage.

Where did you get such a silly idea?

Every prediction is different. All over the board. Democrat lawmakers, especially, seem to be competing to make the most outlandish prediction

If the predictions of the dire consequences of ending the temporary covid supplemental subsidy were true, they should at least come close to matching each other.
