This could be a problem, Democrats.

Biden said: “All the stuff that was in my home was in filing cabinets that were either locked or able to be locked.”

Facts First:
Biden’s claim is not true. The special counsel’s report says that while some of the classified documents were found in cabinet drawers in Biden’s Delaware home, other classified documents, about Afghanistan, were found in an “unsealed” and “badly damaged” box sitting in his garage alongside an assortment of other items the special counsel described as “household detritus.” The report includes a photo of the box.

. . .

Biden claimed of the documents he possessed: “None of it was high classified. It didn’t have any of that red stuff on it, you know what I mean, around the corners? None of that.”

Facts First: Biden’s claim that none of the classified material found in his possession was highly classified is false, according to details provided by the special counsel. Hur reported the discovery of documents in Biden’s possession that had markings identifying them as “Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information,” a very high level of classification – plus handwritten notebooks from Biden’s time as vice president that weren’t marked as classified but that
“contain information that remains classified up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information level.”

. . .

When a reporter responded that the special counsel said he did, Biden responded, “No, they did not say that. He did not say that.”

Facts First: Biden’s claim is false.
Hur did say that, writing explicitly that “Mr. Biden shared information, including some classified information, from those notebooks with his ghostwriter.” He elaborated that Biden shared classified information with his ghostwriter by reading “nearly verbatim” from his notebooks “on at least three occasions,” including his “notes from meetings in the Situation Room.”

A couple points:

This shows to be false the frequent claims that when Biden "discovered" that he had classified material in his home, he immediately returned them. in 2017, he knew enough to tell his ghostwriter that he had "just found the classified stuff downstairs" and then procede to share them with him. $8,000,000 buys a lot of secrets from the Bidens, and not just for ghostwriters.

This is the second time that a major Democratic political figure was investigated for serious crimes involving mishandling of classified material and had the investigator decline to recommend prosecution - but - offer a lengthy explanation that made the subject look guilty as hell with a pretty thin reason for not prosecuting. The first was James Comey doing it to (or for) H. Clinton, and now Robert Hurr doing it to/for Joe Biden.

What's next? I suppose it will be much more honest version in which the investigator lays out all the evidence of guilt and then says, "I was all set to recommend prosecution on multiple felony counts . . . but then I remembered that this is a Democrat we're talking about and said 'Naaaaaaa.'"

Having the prosecutors and judges on your side will keep your candidates out of prison, Democrats, but without the media, they'll have a tough time being honestly elected. By the same token, it may put your opponents in prison, but that will only make it more likely that they will win.

You gonna all of a sudden value Fact Checking?

CNN knows their viewers can't read and comprehend so you won't see this on their network TV broadcast... but they will sometimes slip up and write the truth....

You miss the point, genius.

CNN's "fact checking" is still nothing more than a tool to attack disfavored politicians, while allowing favored politicians to say whatever they want, safe from CNN's scrutiny.

The point is that Biden is no longer in the favored politician group, and therefore the second to the last hope for his re-election is gone.

This could be a problem, Democrats.
A problem for everybody .
Deep State have decided to move matters, or , give the appearance of a change , by switching the Right back into power .

Intelligent people need to determine the DS strategy and whether Trump is an independent maverick , a main party leader , or , a Deep State new faction front person .
Party Politics is all stage managed and is theatre for gullibles and the not very bright .
imho

Big difference is Biden gave them back.
Pence gave them back.
One person didn't.

Beats me how either of the duopoly's darlings could ever win with anything like real journalism covering them.

There is still hope that these two will both be irredeemably besmirched before the election and something resembling a genuine choice be substituted.

During the Trump years and continuing to this very day, it has been a Leftist "sport" to discover and call out Donald Trump's "lies." On close examination, virtually all of them are shown to be either exaggerations ("more people watched my inauguration than..."), or gross distortions of what he actually said, manipulating his words and taking them out of context.

Biden's lies are of a whole different character. They are essential and meaningful. He lies about important facts, clearly intending to deceive the voting public about essential matters. The examples above are, like most of them, easily dis-provable, but the Leftist Media has no interest in correcting him or advising their audience of the lies, because they are "in on it."

The grossest of Biden's lies are about our southern border, and his campaign to invite third-world wretches to cross it. It is as plain as the eyeball on the dollar bill, and yet the MSM allows him to lie almost daily about his actions in this regard - even when he lies about things that they have actually reported, for example Biden's overturning scores of Trump EO's on immigration and border enforcement.

And if we mention these things, we are "conspiracy theorists," as though there are no actual conspiracies.

It is a bad situation, and not getting any better, especially in an election year.

The myth that Biden “gave them back“ needs to be put away right now. It was 2017 when Biden told his ghost writer, “I found the classified stuff downstairs. “

Biden did not give them back until he was caught with thim. by that time, he had already gotten his $8 million for the book deal, and given access to Hunter Biden, and whichever for an adversaries, Hunter Biden decided to show them too.

Mishandling classified material is a crime. There is also the issue that Biden may not have even had the clearance to have the documents found in a cardboard box in his garage.

I've said all along that if Trump is guilty of mishandling classified material he should be prosecuted you lefties just keep making excuses for Biden. It's the same shit you loons did for Clinton. It reeks of partisan hackery.
