"Closing the border even dumber than building a wall

climbing over the wall
Let them climb, the CBP will pick them up in dribs and drabs. Better than a stampede across the border.

Where do you think this ridiculous wall should be built on the Texas border then?
The international boundary line runs right down the center of the water channel.
Maybe you think we should build it north of the river and just give our portion of the Rio Grande (and the farming and ranch land that runs up to the river to Mexico?
There are already hundreds of miles built in Texas, Dumbass. None of it in the middle of the river.

You really are a moron.

So you agree that building a wall on the shifting sands of a riverbed is a stupid idea.
Good.
Bye
Yes, it is extremely stupid. That must be why you are the only idiot who has ever come up with that stupid idea.

Of course, the problem is, most people crossing the border are now claiming refugee status. Until Congress changes the law, those are legal claims and have to be adjudicated.
Every one of them not coming thru an official port of entry are automatically turned down for asylum, or at least they should be as that is the law.

Open the border to hunting. Sell permits. If any get through brand them on the face and deport them. If they show up again, pop them where they drop.

More waste of time violence fantasies. This kind of nonsense will do nothing to really solve the problem.

There are lots of problems we refuse to do anything about. Like pervert teachers.

Sure there is, leverage Mexico and force them to secure the border from their side.

Something Trump already proved works.
This is truly the best, if not the only way.

For decades articles have been written across the globe about this humanitarian crises. but the true humanitarian crises is that, by giving any hope that you can simply walk up to the border and walk into this country, without going through our legitimate vetting process, we are inviting many from the south to cross one of the deadliest regions in the world, cartel controlled northern Mexico.

The solution then, as it is now, is shutting down the border completely to immigration. If there is no hope to cross, they don’t take the journey.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of mostly Hispanic females are tortured, raped or killed by the Cartels as they try to pass through that lawless part of the world. The suffering is unimaginable.

Build the wall and close the border to immigration, or allow the inhumanity to continue.

Look at this Texas border wall right in the middle of the Rio Grande and it's "shifting sand".

Even Ancient China realized you can't build a wall on the constantly shifting sand of a 1200 mile long riverbed.

There is no simple answer or solution to our southern border humanitarian crisis.
Any politician who tries to tell you there is is lying to you. The issue is just too complex for political soundbytes.
When Trump speaks about stupid (non) solutions like building his ridiculous "wall" or "closing the border" he's just pandering to his clueless fan base spread out around the country, many of whom live nowhere near the southern border and don't really understand how it works.
It becomes a tribal thing for these people, often racial, and it just adds to the non-productive noise.
There MAY yet be a working solution to this issue. Some thoughtful, insigtful method of making our southern border more secure and stemming the flow of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. from the south, but it is PROBABLY not going to come from a bellicose, loud-mouthed, hatred-stoking, non-thinker like Donald Trump.

López Obrador’s letter emphasised the economic integration between the two countries and the damage to “people, industry and commerce” that closing the border would bring.

California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, together with the six border states in Mexico, “represent the fourth biggest economy in the world”, while 1 million people and 300,000 vehicles cross the border every day, wrote the Mexican leader popularly known as Amlo.

Many of those vehicles carry cargo as part of the USMCA free trade agreement among the US, Mexico and Canada, which López Obrador defended as making goods cheaper for US consumers and being “the only way to successfully confront the competition brought by the economic and commercial advance of China”.
López Obrador also asked Trump to bear in mind that almost 40 million Mexicans live in the US, that seven of every 10 agricultural workers in the US are Mexican, and that Mexicans contributed $325bn to the US economy last year.
But, he added: “I understand that you are campaigning and that you are not – as some believe – obstinate”.

I remember a movie called Support Your Local Sheriff, basically a western comedy with James Garner and Harry Morgan and some others. James Garner became sheriff of this one town and his jail was so new it didn't have any bars on the cells yet. They were on order. Well, of course he has to arrest some people and throw them in a jail cell with no bars. To discourage escapes he used some red paint on the floor to make it look like what happened to others who tried to escape the barless jail cells. Reminds me of the border situation where Biden has closed the border. Might just as well throw some red paint down on the ground to make illegals think twice about crossing the border.

I hope those BP agents don't drown out there in the middle of the Rio Grande.

Right MagicMike :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:
This photo is obviously NOT taken in the Rio Grande river you dumb-fuck.
Perhaps you can provide some REAL context as to where it really is?
No...you can't can you?
Know why?
Because you have NO fucking idea what you are trying to talk about.
But try again. I'll wait.
