Nope! They had us do the Maypole thing in elementary school it wasn't popular with us kids at all.
Just to clarify, I am all for Independent Unions and workers right to join one. I am of the opinion Unions can be a positive part of a FreeMarket or any Capitalist system. To add, Billionaires are people too.
To me communism/ socialism does more harm than good for working people.

When I was in a country that was behind the iron curtain of the USSR....
I talked with a preacher's son about how life was in those days.

He told me that every May Day celebration they would have a picnic on the city square like most of the townspeople ...however his father would pray publicly out loud(a huge no-no) before eating lunch....and then worry about getting sent to Siberia until the following spring when he would do it all over again.

They didn't have church every week....but they did celebrate someone's birthday every Sunday. His father would tell stories and give a lesson at each birthday party each week.

When the Berlin Wall came down....they got a building and all those people he would see at the birthday parties each week had church service.

They still have May Day festivals every year in most cities....even in those countries that have joined the EU. Too much tradition to stop now.

Sort of but with colored ribbons. We do have a Capitalist system but not Totally Free Market. The debate will always be , how much government involvement in the economy and in personal lives of the citizens .

I was just looking to beat up some bullies, but they had guns.
Somehow they shot at us, called the cops, and we were the ones in trouble.
