And so the question is, can America's interference in the economies of the world's countries that don't tow the US line of imperialist capitalism continue, now that Russia has taken a stand.

As has Israel fallen under the nuclear umbrella of America, other vulnerable countries will be turning to the other superpowers for safety and assurance.

How can I be afraid of a nuke when in my own country I am not even allowed to get on a plane or a train due to my personal health decisions?

Then there is climate change. I'm so glad I do my part by paying 40% more for heating to "help save the planet". I'm very afraid of the increased heat and rising waters.

With all of these concerns, why should I fear nuclear war? The important people will survive anyways after they rise from their underground bunkers. They will have no one left to rule at that point, but you should take solace in knowing that humanity will live on, even in your demise!

Why should the Pootin regime be any different than Khrushchev's?

Russia would be annihilated if they ever launched a nuke at the USA....
We should have a dozen nuclear subs in the black sea right now....
Russia understands completely that it would be annihilated, but Russia also understands that they can do as much damage to America.

Is it worth it to America?

That's all just avoiding the question on this being the end of America's aggression against the world's countries that don'g obey America's political agenda.

In what way? Do you understand what caused the Cuba missile crisis?
The simple fact that America was given a choice to back off and did?

Putin's resolve is every bit as solid as Kruschev's.

They wouldn't get one missile through our defenses and into our airspace....and our nukes are much closer to them and faster...they would be dust...I hope Putin knows this....

Keep the faith!
America would have become fully involved militarily by now if those that push the nuclear buttons has your faith.

Does the god bring it?

The biggest danger we face here at home is an open border where just last month we found Russians trying to sneak in under the cover of darkness....
Al Quaeda is also sending their best fighters here. It is going to get very interesting when the various factions get down and dirty.

Strike while the iron is hot...delay at your own risk...we were threatened and we need to stand up and stop the hand wringing like a worried old lady....oh wait...we have a worried old woman in the white house...
Josephine Biden....

Don't count on our defenses. In order for those defenses to work someone has to operate them. Someone has to give orders and command. We don't have anyone remotely capable or even willing.

Russia has taken a stand for what? Biden had given Putin his oil pipeline and whatever Putin wanted... only Putin wanted to take the country of Ukraine back into the soviet fold. It wasnt good enough for Putin that in the last century Mother Russia starved 4+ million Ukrainians to death... Putin is no more than a greedy self serving excuse
for a human being who has poisoned and imprisoned rivals. He stands for nothing but himself. Go try somewhere else.

THE PROPAGANDA IS STRONG IN THIS ONE

In school as children, we saw bully’s push people around. We saw them tell some kids they couldn’t sit at a table. Because they were not cool, or whatever. We saw bullies take money from people with the use of force as the threat.

Later, as we grew, we saw the same attitudes at play. People using threats to get what they want. Threats of violence, threats of harm, injury, or even death. People stay silent when they see wrongdoing because they are afraid of the consequences. Fear of being unemployed, as one example.

We also saw people stand up, and tell the Bully they wouldn’t bow down. We saw fights, and sometimes the bully won, and sometimes they didn’t. We see people walk away from jobs, facing the unknown, because they can’t stand what is being done.

Putin is no different than that bully from our time in Middle School. He is just like them, and he got a job in the old Soviet Union that was the ultimate in intimidation. You dared not oppose him, he was KGB.

Putin has threatened Nuclear War several times in the last month. And for the most part we’ve listened, but not all that much. We ship weapons and people in to train the Ukrainians how to use the weapons more effectively. We ship war supplies, and are obviously providing information to the Ukrainians to help them in their war effort.

But let’s say we back off, because we are afraid of the Bully. Let’s argue that for a moment, just as a what if. What happens? Putin demands that Poland and the other Baltic States leave NATO or he will fire the nukes. We back down again. We have to, the threat that stayed our hand before, remains doesn’t it?

Where do we draw the line? Poland and the Baltic States? Germany? How about Belgium? Or England, or France? Where do we draw the line? Where do we decide that the price is too high, we can’t pay it to avoid the threat of Nuclear War?

If Russia demands Alaska, and yes, members of their Parliament have demanded the return of Alaska previously, do we give it to them to avoid Nuclear War?

One thing our childhood experiences taught us, Bullies get stronger when you give in. If you stand and oppose them, you might lose, and they might get stronger, but chances are you’ll beat them. Diminish their power, the fear that the others have.

Bullies became thugs, and thugs became criminals. And as adults, they continued their behavior, strong arming people to get what they want. Using the threat of violence to get what they want. Even using violence to achieve their goals.

We must stand up to Putin now. We have made him too strong already, and if that means we face Nuclear War, then so be it. The alternative is to surrender everything to him piece by piece, and some things are worth fighting for, and even worth dying for.

Freedom. That is what Ukraine is about. Freedom. Freedom of self determination. Freedom to decide what their future will be. Freedom to pursue their own happiness.

Those freedoms do not exist just within our borders. Those freedoms call to people, everywhere. During the first Cold War, we stood up for those Freedoms. We explained the advantages, the benefits that came from them.

Putin is about control, like all thugs, all bullies. He wants to control.

That is not a strong man. That is a weak, and impotent man, pretending to be strong. That is a man without honor, without any core beliefs except his own personal power, and what he can force from the people.

Fuck Putin. And his threats. Either launch the god damned nukes, or shut the fuck up. By threatening us over and over again, all Putin does is show he is too afraid to do so. A man who will pull the trigger won’t brag about it. He just knows you know he’ll pull that trigger. A man who talks about it all the time, won’t. Because he knows he’ll lose if he does. And Putin won’t lose himself. He’ll let thousands of Russians die. He’ll let hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians die. He’ll let any of the common people die, but he won’t let himself die.

That’s why he has food tasters who make sure his dinner isn’t poisoned. It is why he insures the police round up the people who disagree with him in the video above. If that attitude is allowed to percolate, it might grow, and it might consume him. Russia doesn’t have a long history of peaceful transfers of power. And Putin knows if he falls he’ll end up like the Romanovs, or any of the others who have risen to the top only to fall.
