Climate shock: 90 percent of the world’s glaciers are GROWING

A new NASA study, released on Friday, admits that ice is accumulating in Antarctica. Satellite measurements show an 82-112 gigaton-a-year net ice gain. That’s 82-112 billion tons per year! Nine zeroes! In other words that is 112,000,000,000 tons. Per year.

It’s hard to comprehend how much ice that really is, so let’s put it in perspective. Let’s assume that they’re talking short tons (2,000 lbs). That’s about the weight of an old VW Beetle.

Poor Old Fraud and alarmist are gonna hemorrhage due to this blow to their alarmist meme..

Arctic sea ice rebounds as polar temperatures start to plunge

The NSIDC shows that 2016 is about the same as 2007 and better than 2012 through 2015 levels. Based on the most recent compiled data from last week, Arctic ice covered 2.5 million square miles (4.1 million square km) of sea water, up from its low of 1.3 million square miles in 2012.

In what is being touted as the ‘Hottest Year’ [2015] on record, Arctic ice has been growing rapidly to 1980s level http://t.co/PeeSepjdeb

I was just on a conference call with the boys in Boulder and found out that the sea ice sensor was recently recalibrated and should come back online this week. I EXPECTED A PULL BACK ... and here it is... thanks for posting it..

Poor Old Fraud and Crick are gonna have a tantrum...

From the article, revealing the problem with only citing the parts you like.
But it might only take a few decades for Antarctica’s growth to reverse, according to Zwally. “If the losses of the Antarctic Peninsula and parts of West Antarctica continue to increase at the same rate they’ve been increasing for the last two decades, the losses will catch up with the long-term gain in East Antarctica in 20 or 30 years -- I don’t think there will be enough snowfall increase to offset these losses.”

LOL...

DO the words NATURAL VARIATION mean anything to you? Everything happening is within what we have observed so far and is naturally occurring.. Your runaway meme is total bull shit!

I don't know who started this global warming kick. Billy_Bob

The same arguments for reducing emissions and pollution can be made
by focusing on cleaning up and preserving oceans and rivers, and RESTORING forests and natural ecosystems and wildlife. Why not focus THERE where constructive solutions NEED and DESERVE full public support without division?

All this GW seems a huge distraction, to create a political bogeyman to bait and hang people with.

Gore and corporate politicians profiting from the hype and carbon credits
are blamed for hijacking the Green movement and turning it political for their own gains.

Could it be the bigger motive IS TO DISTRACT from the REAL efforts it will take
to work toward sustainable clean energy and clean up the toxic waste and pollutants that
corporations get away with, if "everyone is chasing after GW" and not addressing real pollution and
environment destruction still going on?

Is it all a corporate ploy to distract from real issues and real solutions?

CAGW has ALWAYS been a ploy to deprive us of our ability to self-sustain without government control. IF you cant control the person you take things away until you can. The UN is a socialist global organization with one goal, World domination. It has always been about control..

You haven't proven it's natural variation. I expect the same level scientific proof as you do from climate scientists. If snow has been accumulating for 10,000 years, what natural variation would cause it to reverse in 20-30 years, as stated by the same guy that reported the increases?

That paper alone has documented the changes and cyclical variations for thousands of years. The current pattern is not unlike previous patterns.. You really should read the whole paper.. They made some assumptions that even they can not prove. Their attempts to attribute any of what they saw to mans influence is pure conjecture.

By definition if it has returned then it is a natural variation. The thing is that these are exactly the kind of things we would expect to see in an interglacial cycle. It would be bad to enter a glacial period. The same conditions which existed before the first glacial cycle still exist today. All that is lacking is the trigger. We would be far better off with a higher level of CO2 than we would be with a lower level of CO2. I don't see the problem. What exactly is the problem?
