Climate scientists have been warning us for years that climate change from greenhouse gases will cause catastrophic flooding. Research suggests that atmospheric rivers are getting bigger, more frequent and more extreme, due to climate change; and the damage they cause is getting worse.
Atmospheric Rivers: Inside the giant 'sky rivers' swelling with climate change

Yet, the climate change deniers keep saying the crisis is a hoax and “move along, nothing to see here.”

Undoubtedly, the climate change deniers have led many to be complacent about flooding, particularly in red states like Texas. Thus, it should be no surprise that the pigheadedness of the deniers led to the deaths in the July 4th flooding in Central Texas.

On November 10, families of some of the little girls and counselors who died in the flood filed lawsuits against Camp Mystic and its operators, accusing the camp of wrongful death, gross negligence, and intentionally inflicting emotional distress.

Jeff Ray, legal counsel for Camp Mystic, stated, “We intend to demonstrate and prove that this sudden surge of floodwaters far exceeded any previous flood in the area by several magnitudes, that it was unexpected . . . “ But it was expected, according to climate scientists. Perhaps the Camp Mystic operators should have been prosecuted for negligent homicide but don’t expect justice in a MAGA state.

And if lies about climate change lead to deaths, should the liars be prosecuted?

So just to be clear, your argument is that people expressing skepticism about climate science are responsible for a specific natural disaster? You’re drawing a straight causal line between public disagreement and an extreme weather event. I’m trying to understand how that reasoning holds up. Where’s the actual mechanism of responsibility supposed to be in that chain?

Now all you need to do is prove any of those linkages exist outside your own mind.

The CO2 FRAUD killed those kids by cloud seeding and billing the taxpayer for it.

There are like 3-4 recent storms where that occurred.

And if lies about climate change lead to deaths, should the liars be prosecuted?

They've led to the US being bilked to the tune of $20 trillion so far, and the deaths they caused are mostly from misdiagnosing fires and hence preventing solutions like desalination.

Let's find out who is the liar here. Answer these basic climate questions for us, sick science invalid traitor...

From your first citation;

"The results from this experiment show that most ARDTs project an increase in AR [= atmospheric river] frequency, with mean trends of approximately +1–10 AR days/year per century along the western coastlines of North America, South America, Southern Africa, and Europe (Figures 2c and 2d)."

Scientifically ... Camp Mystic was hit with the remnants of a Tropical Storm Berry ... which has absolutely nothing to do with atmospheric river events ... one thing is clear, Camp Mystic was receiving rain by the buckets for hours before the flash flood ... the adults there should have known better ...

The owners knew the dangers of camping there ... but the money was good, so they took that chance ...

Tell me, are flash floods some kind of recent phenomenon that have only happened in the last decade or two, or have they been a problem since the first rain fell from the sky?

Global warming is greatly increasing the volume of water in the flash floods.

Climate change had a double impact, first by creating a drought, then by increasing the moisture generated in the storm.

The storm developed at the intersection of unusually high atmospheric moisture, persistent low-level inflow from the Gulf, and favorable upper-level dynamics that concentrated rainfall over a small area in a short time. The terrain of the Hill Country, already well known for steep relief and narrow river valleys, amplified runoff and limited opportunities for water to spread or infiltrate. Compounding this, the area was in the grip of a multiyear drought, which had rendered soils hydrophobic and vegetation sparse, further accelerating runoff into the Guadalupe River system.

So gullible warming had nothing to do with it?

Rain fell from the sky before there was land to be flooded ... but as soon as there was land, there was flooding ...

I don't see how people being skeptical of what causes the change in climate actually caused the deaths caused by a weather event. The weather caused the deaths. Not the people questioning why the weather is acting as it is. The idea that people expressing skepticism about something is somehow directly connected to a weather event is silly at best, and hostile, and dishonest towards honest discussion.

Climate change deniers killed Texas children

I know you believe that humans make weather.

But you’re saying that just questioning the political narrative is enough to bring the wrath of nature down upon the heads of children?

That comes across as more than a little extreme fundamentalist.

Are you prepared to burn “deniers” at the stake, or just have them mulched?

Does warming Earth increase or decrease the number of droughts on Earth?

The "increased moisture" is from CO2 FRAUD drones cloud seeding, a deliberate act of mass murder by CO2 FRAUD, and why the weather forecasting never saw that amount of rain coming, because it was "artificially increased"

Tell me, are flash floods some kind of recent phenomenon that have only happened in the last decade or two, or have they been a problem since the first rain fell from the sky?

There have been 3-4 storms in the past few years where CO2 FRAUD seeded and increased rainfall. The Texas storm was one. What we the American taxpayer pay for disguised as "climate change research."

Global warming is greatly increasing the volume of water in the flash floods.

Really? Got any actual proof to that?

Has "global warming" somehow magically changed the volume of water that comes down in rainstorms? Has it somehow magically changed the ground in desert areas so it sheds even more water? Has it somehow magically changed the hydrodynamics of water so it behaves differently?

There is a technical term for what you just said, and that's "bullshit".

This is why I hate when religious fanatics jump into a topic about science and start spouting off their beliefs as if they are facts. You presented not a single shred of actual proof, just your beliefs.

Now here for example is a real fact. The flash flood brought up by the OP? That is the 10th highest death toll of a flash flood in the last 200 years. And the others that make up the ranking of the 15 deadliest flash floods?

The most recent was in 1976. That was 49 years ago.

You see, that is the danger of simply making things up and assuming that nobody will actually check up on your claims. Because you have people like me that actually do take the time and effort to do research, and I love destroying fantasies that people make up to support their beliefs.

Climate change had a double impact, first by creating a drought, then by increasing the moisture generated in the storm.

OK, now please explain these contradictions?

And there is no "drought". Oh, there is overpopulation that depleted the resources, sure. But the amount of water that has fallen in the US has been amazingly stable within variations for centuries. And overpopulation depleting resources is not a "drought". That is a reduction in rainfall.

And here you are as my ancestors would have said speaking with "forked tongue". Literally from both sides of the forked tongue. First that there is not enough rain causing drought, then there is more rain in storms which literally means there is more water. Both of them can't be true. In fact, neither of them is true, that is just you spouting off your fantasies without any evidence.

That is an enormous load of bullshit.

I don't see how people being skeptical of what causes the change in climate actually caused the deaths caused by a weather event.

Were there deaths prior to this event, yes or no?

This is the problem with flawed logic. And why people are trying to blame everything from volcanos and earthquakes to increases or decreases in the number of tropical cyclones on "Climate Change". As if the clime itself has not always been changing, and such variations had not happened before.

That is not science, that is mental illness seeing the future in tea leaves.
