I watched a tremendously effective GOP majority, aided an abetted by 30 odd responsible and competent Democrats, force a very reluctant Bill Clinton into welfare and tax reform that created an amazing economy and the closest thing to a balanced budget any of us had seen in our lifetime. But Newt Gingrich, Tim Penny and most of those reformer Republicans then term limited themselves out and were replaced with old guard professional politician Republicans that barely tried if at all.

This current crop of MAGA Republicans remind me of that era and give us the best chance we've had to turn things around. The Democrats don't have those responsible members at all anymore though so we need to greatly increase the GOP majority so that they will have the necessary political strength to push through needed and necessary legislation the Democrats will try to block every way they can.

The USA's societal issues is partly to do with economics and partly to do with alternative lifestyle choices being accepted. Including contraceptive choices available. (Sexual Intercourse is now for recreational purposes instead of reserved for procreation)

Economic issues (low wages for high educational requirements and skyrocketing post secondary education)

Then marriage penalty taxes, high daycare costs, and high medical costs. Also more women are becoming the breadwinner with the high salaries and post secondary educations, but feel they cannot take the career hit for maternity leave. Means people can't afford to have children. Even if they have a high skill job. At most people currently have 1.6 children as an average when before most had 3-4 as a standard.

The traditional nuclear family with the Father as the breadwinner is a decreasing demographic. The single parent family is the largest demographic in the USA currently due to government subsidies and supplemental incomes available to single parent homes. (At the moment it is a necessary toxin....meaning it can't be just canceled without disastrous effects and continuing the practice ensures the problem only becomes worse)

South Korean issues stem from long term poverty (war) and sluggish economy where people devote themselves to their careers (even low skill factory work) and have not made time for relationships or family as weas the availability of contraceptives if you do happen to gain a relationship of some form.

Customer Service Jobs are often viewed as low skill and fewer people are interested in it anymore. Between rude customers abusing the staff, low wages, poor management (also low pay) , and low advancement opportunities for real personal financial growth (still can't afford a house even as management) and you can't eat a title....
(Didn't used to be this way....but times and laws have changed)


Means we are looking at a service industry collapse soon that even immigration will not solve.

I truly dont think either party is interested or will do anything to fix the situation other than tell people
"Get more training" or "work more and work harder". Thats going to continue to be the solution. Young people see this and well theyre throwing in the towel on houses. Etc. Some are focusing purely on careers and making money to travel, have nice things instead of having families. This trend is NOT going to turn around anytime soon.

However most incomes average around 80k....but an income of $180k is needed for a modest $300k home.

Double income, no kids(DINK) is still insufficient to afford a home....and if they do have a child they cannot afford daycare or a home.

Dem policies have made it almost impossible for the young to own a home anymore, so they just gave up. Forcing employers to pay a "living wage" of $15 per hour for part time work isn't enough to buy a home, especially when prices are soaring due to dem policies.
