This has a bright side, and a dark side.

CIA controlled global encryption company for decades, says report

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/feb/11/crypto-ag-cia-bnd-germany-intelligence-report

Leaked documents have revealed that the CIA owned and controlled global encryption company Crypto AG for more than 50 years. Crypto AG sold rigged communications equipment to other countries, giving Washington access to enormous amounts of intelligence from unsuspecting users. Investigative journalist Ben Swann joins Scottie Nell Hughes with the details. They also discuss how this sheds new light on US claims about Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei.

Nothing the "Crooks In Action" (brought to us by the jesuits) surprises me. Just a bunch of sick and twisted thugs with no conscience.

This is kind of old news.

However, it was a brilliant move by our intelligence services. Kudos to them.

Seems like the kind of thing we would expect from our spy agency

If America is engaged in negotiations with another country, knowing what the other side is thinking is invaluable.

Good job, CIA!

Only a full-on retard would have a problem with that.

The benefits from this brilliant strategy are self-evident.
World dominance does have a price .

This kind of shit has been going on forever. It's the same crap that's going around about Huawei today. Everyone that's a player does it and has been doing it even well before WWI. It should be no surprise to anyone by now.

Only a lying pos troll would come on here acting all high and mighty -- like Adam Shit for brains.
You're probably upset we cracked the German and Japanese Enigma code in WWII.

Just how retarded are you?

Fake news ... so much wrong with this story I don't know where to begin ... cryptographic machines are easy to build, the notion a nation-state would buy these machines from another nation, and then not check them for security, defies the purpose of cryptography ... there's no magic here, any "back door" will be a physical wire, all these nations saw this wire and said "I don't know what this is, but we trust the West Germans so completely, we won't bother to find out" ... I don't think so ...

The US military builds their own crypto machines, a few are authorized for NATO use ... effectively unbreakable if used properly ... still best to just steal the information ...

I do get a good laugh every time I hear about the NSA being a spy and intelligence gathering agency ... that's funny ... it's the perfect cover to hide what they're really about ... it's safer for you not to know ...

Air Force 30650 ... in case you were wondering ...

Why am I not surprised who the first ones defending them are ?
Obama's team of spygaters.

So, you are being triggered by the fact that our spy agency spied on people in other countries?

Isn't that sort of their job?

304X4 here ground radio. However I think the AFSCs are different now. Somehow I wound up doing geodetic survey shit for the last three years too. There are no longer any survey specialist in the Air Force today, it's all done by NGA now, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. In ground radio we got all the odd orphaned stuff like geoceivers of all things.
