'When she fled to America, Dr. Yan had to rely on the contacts of Lu De, an anti-Chinese Communist Party billionaire named Miles Guo and his friend Steve Bannon, ex-advisor to Donald Trump. Steve Bannon was arrested on Guo's yacht in August 2020 for allegedly defrauding donors in a crowdfunding campaign to build the US border wall with Mexico. He pleaded not guilty.
