Not sure that's true. Most of Iran's military hardware is domestically made, and due to years of sanctions, they haven't bought that much other than components.

That the US is having a hard time beating up on an impoverished nation like Iran should tell us what an awful idea it would be to go toe-to-toe with China in their turf would be.

It's why Trump seems ready to sell out Taiwan.
