China Beating us Again?

You do see that your own link has a question mark there, don't you?

"IS" Deepseek lying?

You stated it as fact that they are lying. There is no such statement
You asked for something that supports my comment. There it is.

And here's another source that says Deepseek is fake...

That is the same exact post that you supplied before!

By the way and using common sense. Last week, NVDA stock lost $650 million dollars when the news came out. If Deepseek is a lie, you don't think that the Tech companies would know that? The people with big money would know that?

On top of that and considering that it was a lie that surprisingly came out one day but now (after 3 days from the news) that lie would have come to light and all that was lost would now be regained, no?

NVDA is still trading 15% lower TODAY (at 122.75 from the high made on Friday at 148.73). How do you explain that?

NO! Not yet. But highly likely? It depends.

Now consumers have 2 big choices. You can use both of them, ChatGPT and DeepSeek. Gee, I like competitions. But DeepSeek will end up just like TikTok? Probably.
lol. :)

👉 DeepSeek is a Chinese AI startup that recently launched a chatbot app, rapidly gaining popularity in the U.S. market. Founded by Li Wenfeng in Hangzhou, it claims to rival major models like ChatGPT while using significantly less computational power and costing only about $6 million to develop[1][2]. The app supports both Chinese and English and has been noted for its efficiency, reportedly outperforming competitors in various tasks[3][4]. However, it has faced criticism for censoring sensitive topics due to its Chinese origins[3][4]. The emergence of DeepSeek has shaken the U.S. tech market, leading to notable stock declines[1][4].

👉 DeepSeek managed to develop its AI model at a low cost of around $6 million by utilizing less advanced hardware and fewer chips compared to competitors. The company capitalized on a stockpile of Nvidia A100 chips, combining them with lower-end alternatives to create an efficient model. Additionally, DeepSeek's open-source approach allows for cost-effective modifications and widespread accessibility, further reducing expenses associated with development and deployment[1][2][3][4]. This strategy enables DeepSeek to perform competitively while significantly undercutting the billions spent by U.S. tech giants[5][6].

👉 DeepSeek's performance has emerged as a strong competitor to ChatGPT, showcasing strengths in various areas. In complex problem-solving, DeepSeek outperformed ChatGPT in speed and accuracy. For programming tasks, ChatGPT provided clearer explanations, while DeepSeek's responses were more succinct. In language translation and historical analysis, DeepSeek offered comprehensive answers, often surpassing ChatGPT's performance. However, ChatGPT excelled in creative writing. Overall, DeepSeek has been noted for its speed and detail, establishing itself as a formidable alternative in the AI landscape[1][2][3][4].

America Serves Shrimp Fried Rice

Such an overwhelming defeat of American Geekdom should make them question the unnatural education system that got them their jobs. If it doesn't cause them to recruit and pay the talented to learn, instead of this birth-class biased indentured servitude, then Silicon Valley will become silt.

The Chicoms lied about Deepseek's ability. That lie sent the market into a tizzy. China isn't beating anything, except it's baloney...lol
We Coolie-Sized Ourselves

The smart money says we should take this blowout seriously. There's so much Cold War II paranoia about the Chinese that I tend to take their claims as probably true.

Yesterday we had a spike down in our U.S. AI universe (NASDAQ fell over 600 points and stocks like NVDA fell 16% in value) when it was announced that a Chinese company called Deepseek has developed AI in a faster and cheaper way than our American companies.

DeepSeek founder called China’s ‘AI hero’ after US stock market tanks

DeepSeek’s founder has at least two reasons to celebrate this week. Alongside the Chinese Lunar Year, the company had the App Store’s most downloaded app with its AI agent, while the US market melted down due to the new model being so accurate and cheap to train compared to comparable models from the likes of OpenAI.

China continues to beat us with good products we will all be using but doing it at a cheaper price.

Then again, most of us will not be able to take advantage of the savings because Trump is likely to tariff us out of the picture.

YAWWWWN..... DEEP SINK IS INDEED IMPRESSIVE. However it is limited to the American versions as to what I can actually do. Nevertheless the fact that it can be used on low-powered chip sets makes it a beast in the market. It will not have that dominance for long.

You should try to be a US patriot and stop opening your butt cheeks to China.

Well it's kind of hard when you're a Chinese national posing as an American here on the posting boards. Luckyone happens to be a pretty popular Chinese surname on the continent. He probably figured nobody would catch on translating it into English.

He/she/it should consider changing name to, "Thickone".

The socialist left worries about the stock market only during republican administrations. Were they in a freaking coma when mentally impaired Joe Biden and his Dr. Feelgood Fauci ruined the US economy with their fascist covid regulations?
