Memorial Day weekend shootings leave 4 dead, at least 49 wounded

To quote my favorite football coach.....This Memorial Day weekend Chicago will likely see well over "Half a Hundred" shooting victims....as they are at 49 already and it's only 10:45am on this great holiday.

So the thousands of existing gun control laws haven't prevented criminals and crazies from obeying the law? Hard to believe.

Half-a-hundred is a term Barry Switzer used often, long before Spurrier ever coached. He'd tell his players before games where his team was heavily favored that "they were on the schedule so we have to play them. So let's go hang a half-a-hundred on them and go out and have a good time tonight!"
I think it's more of an old southern/country thing.
