Cities are run by city councils that are generally bi-partisan. Second, republicans run for mayor. They don't win because what they propose would make things worse.

Funny how per capita never gets used in this discussion because mid size and small cities ran by republicans show more crime and violence per capita than Chicago. But you right wingers are intellectually lazy and the fact remains that murder rose under a republican president.

And he came into office talking about how he would end "American carnage".
