I was very close to them for 5 yrs !!!
I would fly all the way to Chicago to see them .
Then when they entered School things gradually deteriorated.
They become “ little kid Trotskys “ and I checked their Chicago curriculum!!
Classes in gay studies , transgender studies , non stop black history month every other month , classes in White oppression, fake global warming etc
They become the same people I utterly detest

For the record, I used to be quite close to my nephew (42 y.o. IT consultant). He and his family moved into Chicago in around 2015 to take a job.

During the 2016 election year, I was astounded to hear him talking like a freakin' Bolshevik. When I pointed out casually that among gainfully employed white males, his attitudes are a small minority, he went ballistic. His kids are happily in Chicago public schools, which he and his wife claim are "wonderful."
