Committee Vice Chair Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) opened today’s hearing with video footage of depositions from Trump White House and campaign lawyers, both of whom illustrated that Trump’s allies knew the Big Lie was, in fact, a lie.
In their taped depositions, ex-Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschman and ex-Trump campaign lawyer Matt Morgan are heard saying that prior to Jan. 6, they did not see evidence supporting Trump’s election fraud falsehoods.
