Because the wage increases are negligible. Or simply don't have miners get the cost. Either way works well for thr nation.It wont affect coal prices.
Why not?

Really? Tell that to the people in South Australia;
Declining
The price of electricity in South Australia is declining. The average wholesale electricity price for the first quarter of 2024 was $55 per megawatt hour, which is 24% lower than the average for Q1 in 2023. This decline is attributed to the easing of global gas price shocks and the impact of renewable energy on costs. The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) reported these price drops, indicating that South Australia's power prices are on a downward trend.
Lomborg is hardly a credible source.
I see the problem. The article you posted is two years old.Really? Tell that to the people in South Australia;

LOL. YOU OFT (MOSTLY/90%) POST GRAPHS FROM THE 1990'S 0R 2000'S LEAVING OFF THE RECORD HEAT OF THE LAST 10-20 YEARS.I see the problem. The article you posted is Two Years Old.
So you don't think the last interglacial period was 2C warmer than today? How do you explain the 26ft higher seas in the last interglacial period if it wasn't warmer back then. You are such a dope.LOL. YOU OFT (MOSTLY/90%) POST GRAPHS FROM THE 1990'S 0R 2000'S LEAVING OFF THE RECORD HEAT OF THE LAST 10-20 YEARS.
"2 YEARS OLD" WOULD BE ALL TIME RECORD "NEW" FOR YOU.
`
These are of course non sequiturs Dishonest or low IQers like you try.So you don't think the last interglacial period was 2C warmer than today? How do you explain the 26ft higher seas in the last interglacial period if it wasn't warmer back then. You are such a dope.
The empirical climate record of the geologic record isn't a non sequitur. It's hard data. And the last time CO2 was over 400 ppm the planet cooled. See?These are of course non sequiturs Dishonest or low IQers like you try.
(You've tried this loser scores of times)
At what point in the Last interglacial?
Was it/the temp (or sea level) on the way Up or Down in it's thousands of years cycle?
We are of course Lagging in temp and even more in Sea level/melting, because of our human-driven hyperfast CO2 Spike, but will probably pass the "26 ft" since....
(MY TURN)
the last time CO2 was over 400 PPM (Pliocene) Sea Level was 50' Higher, and temp Much Higher.
ooops.
You can't debate me you dishonest little POS!!

Its all tax subsidies and mandates a false economy
In 2022, under the Inflation Reduction Act, First Solar became the biggest beneficiary of $1 trillion in environmental spending. First Solar executives and lobbyists met at least four times in late 2022 and 2023 with administration officials who oversaw the measure’s environmental provisions. Democratic donors had invested heavily in the company prior to the act being signed into law.[23]
