Capitalism and free markets don't give him enough control and power. He uses what's convenient to attain that end and people willing to buy what he's selling put a convenient label on it. The guy's a control freak. That has nothing to do with socialism.

One cannot help but think that the people most likely to insure that the USA becomes socialist are those money grubbing nitwits who run our banking and finance community.

We had a perfectly sound system until they started deregulating it, and lending money to people who obviously weren't able to pay for those homes.
