HER! Diane Sawyer. As someone who has watched ABC News since the early years of Peter Jennings, I must say I am saddened by this decision. She's a TERRIBLE anchor. She asks the absolute stupidest questions (such as after a plane crash, she asked if planes should no longer be allowed to fly through clouds) and I've watched her on World News Tonight subbing for Charlie Gibson... she's god AWFUL.
David Muir, who is 36 years old and a handsome guy should've been given the nod. He's excellent - he tells a story wonderfully and he doesn't ask stupid questions. It's also a great way to compete with Brian Williams, who was 44 when he got the nod a few years ago. It would also attract a younger demographic to watch ABC and today if you're not between 18-49, you're irrelevant. I'm tired of hearing Diane Sawyer... she's had her time in the sun. She's almost 65.. we don't need more old people on TV giving us our news.
