Man considered too old to be dangerous, is released, and kills again, this is why we have crime.

A judge ignored the prosecutors on this one.......and a woman is murdered and two boys have their lives shattered....

Any murder should be the death penalty...had they killed this guy, that woman would still be alive, and those boys would not have suffered that terrible shock...

Murderer released after being deemed too old to kill again, kills again

A 77-year-old murderer — back on the streets because he was deemed too old to kill again — was convicted this week of fatally stabbing a Maine woman while her twin children watched.

Back in 1979, he killed his wife, Sandra, in shockingly similar circumstances, stabbing her to death while the woman's young daughter was nearby. He was convicted of murder and served 25 years behind bars.
-----------
After his release in 2004, Flick was convicted of assaulting two other women in 2010. A judge sentenced Flick to almost four years behind bars — resisting recommendations of prosecutors and probation officials to give him eight or nine years, believing the man would be too old to commit any more violent acts.

"At some point, Mr. Flick is going to age out of his capacity to engage in this conduct, and incarcerating him beyond the time that he ages out doesn't seem to me to make good sense from a criminological or fiscal perspective," Maine Superior Court Justice Robert E. Crowley said at the time.

Crowley is retired from the bench and now works as a mediator through a Portland law firm. He did not immediately return phone and email messages seeking comment Friday.

The judge needs to be fired and disbarred

He needs to serve time for aiding and abetting a murderer. Period.

They're glad "he'll never walk the streets again."

That ain't good enough. That's not justice. He should be meeting Jesus (or Satan).

Again, we already lock up 2 million people.

Now, if you want to reform the prisons to only lock up the murderers for life (be ready to take care of a lot of elderly people) you better be ready to let out thieves, drug pushers and other non-violent offenders.

Hanging him 50 years ago makes perfect sense from a "fiscal perspective".

Um, not really. Given that we have released 164 people from death row because they didn't do what they were accused of, hanging people doesn't seem like a very good solution.

164 out of how many over how many years? C'mon here, Joe; You're supposed to be about what's good for the collective and all that.

Owait..not hanging violent offenders makes the government 3x bigger, so you're all for that.

To me, the judge should be charged as if they themselves killed the newest victim...because that is pretty much what they are guilty of. This was talked about on the Inside Edition show and it was said that before the guy was even put away, he already had a track record with stabbing people. Thankfully some of his victims actually lived to tell about his attacks on them.

God bless you and them and the families of every deceased victim always!!!
