This is how Tariffs work. Honda's new Hybrid built in the US, will be EXEMPT from tariffs. Any other Honda built outside the US will not be exempt.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Honda (HMC) has decided to produce its next-generation Civic hybrid in the U.S. state of Indiana, instead of Mexico, to avoid potential tariffs on one of its top-selling car models, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Another big win for Trumpy and Democrats, big babies that they are, can't handle it. Now they refuse go to Trump's joint address to congress, but one could say they wouldn't understand it anyway. They still openly believe in government waste, open borders, sanctuary cities, racism, sex change operations for pre-teens, DEI, unlimited abortions, boys playing in girls' sports and voting fraud to name a few of their insanities. Democrats look so bad these days that they don't want to stand too close to Trump and risk looking ever worse. Disband that party.

If this happens - when will it happen. Will it happen this year???? Since they are already producing the 2025 Civic in Mexico, how long will it take for them to move production to Indiana. Oh wait - it's in the link.

"It now plans to build the new Civic model in Indiana from May 2028 with an expected annual production of around 210,000, one of the people said. Honda would look to import from nations not hit by tariffs if production in Indiana falls short of demand, one of them said."

So maybe, three years from now, Honda might move production to the USA at the end of Trump's term. So they can jolly him along to prevent tariff's now. Maybe slip him a few bucks while they dangle this promise in front of him.

Remember all of the off-shoring jobs Trump told you he saved the last time he was in office? The appropriately named "Foxconn" was able to extract millions of dollars from the Trump Administration to bring 50,000 jobs to Wisconsin, costing every resident of Wisconsin over $700 to pay for these incentives.

Foxconn has a long history of demanding investment incentives for some big project, and then scaling the project way down, while keeping the cash.

Foxconn now employs 1000 people in Wisconsin according to their annual report. Raising the price per job to about $35,000 per resident of Wisconsin.

Recently, Foxconn bought a parcel of land near Houston to run a similar scam.

Indiana is an RTW state, and thus it's cheaper to build cars there than in Mexico if the tariff is significant. And obviously cheaper than in any union state.

UNKNOWN at this point. Yes for building anything in America.
But not just words & promises.
