I was looking for a forum to place this subject....Debates didn't seem to fit....General Discussion might...but this is after all a very current event taking place on a daily basis and morphing into bigger and better manifestations every day also.
New Studies Link Cell Phone Radiation with Cancer
The Entire world is now in the palm of your hand. Experts are warning us all the time about the danger of Cell Phones to our children and I agree but I also disagree. I suppose it's quaint to hearken back to a simpler life where voice communication over long distances depended your physical proximity to a hard wired overland phone set. That form of communication started roughly at about the turn of the 20'th century and didn't change very much for 70 years...and so it became hardwired also inasmuch as it came to bee seen as tradition and you know that anytime we buck tradition you're always going to have a reaction, a backlash from people who fear change.
Then comes faxing, then comes beta signal internet access over phone lines with computers at the other end of the wires....now we have upgraded to laser carry over fiber-optic conduit and ultimately to the various frequencies of cell coverage with the new 5g market promising to bring hitherto unheralded access speed to data streaming and shear statistical muscle all in the palm of your hand.
We also have access to the entire world library of reference unlike ever before. My Grandson can ask me a question about the old days and he can check the accuracy of my answers ( and he does ) simply by asking his I phone. It put's me out a bit but I support it wholeheartedly. At his young age his general world knowledge must be 10 times what I had to dig out of books and some re-run PBS documentaries or take a trip down the the Public library for .... Some would say.... well good that's where you should be...but I disagree. NO....that is not where I should be when I can have that public library in my palm immediately and then some. I'll spend less time getting the info and more time learning greater amounts of info....this is a good thing.
New info on the EMF radiation implications of cell usage insofar as human health is concerned seem to be saying that all cell usage is somehow damaging to the brain and can actually stimulate dopamine release causing the well know withdrawal symptoms we see in cell phone deprived teens....lol. Here's my take on that.
We are knowledge and information machines. Our brains are so huge compared to the usage demand we put on them I say that something artificial is needed to help us understate out human intentional more clearly.
I see the cell phone or the hand held communications computer as the perfect answer to that need. Eventually we will have them chipped into your skulls IMO....and all the keyboards, mouses and selection tools will be virtual holograms manipulated by the Electro-magnetic impulses of our brain minus an motion of the hands....is that a bad thing? I don't think so...not only is it not bad...I believe it is inevitable and irreversible.
