Caught the wife in a compromising situation

You miss the point Rosie. With this grater the kids can use it and reduce their mothers workload. Cooking becomes a family thing and brings all the female family together.
You cant put a price on that.
FEMALE FAMILY!!!!! I'm tellin' Kamilla

They put cellulose in shredded cheese.
That stops it from melting in a delicious manner. One useful kitchen trick is to use olive oil on it so that the heat transfers to it better.

Or you can just not be a lazy fuck.

I am Canadian. If your ancestors arrived in America on the Mayflower, do you tell people you are British?
If my people continued to put the head of another nation on their currency and recognize their head of state, as teh chief executive officer a century after we supposedly had "independence?"

I would not presume the fiction of gas-lighting to myself or others we are sovereign, from that foreign nation. . . no.

Absolutely not.

Yeah, we are a colony. Listen to old interviews from the 60s and 70s and this is how Canada, Australia and others were referred. When Canadians signed up for the military in WWII the recruiting method was "fight for your King"!

We are a Constitutional Monarchy but we aren;t as close to the UK as we once were. I dont even think King Charles has visited us yet but I could be wrong

This one is more like a tool I approve of.

You can buy it in the colonies as well.
I did not know that the British were still colonizers?

You still have colonies do you?

If you refer to the states, perhaps it is time for a second revolution if you have forgotten the outcome of the first? eh wot wot?

Maybe a well placed Nuke onto London will teach you limies a bit a respect, eh?

Cellulose is plant fiber and adds nothing harmful to the cheese, in fact has the same health benefits as any other plant fiber though the amount added is so negligible it doesn't contribute to your recommended fiber intake or add any calories. It keeps the shredded cheese from clumping and drying out so quickly.

You got all that from a cheese grater ?

Its processing what is generally a natural product. The less processing the better. I think too much food is processed. We should recognise what we are eating.

Yes thats right. Went to the fridge, opened it up and theee first thing I see is a big bag of PRE GRATED CHEESE.
Is this now a thing ?
To get grated cheese you buy a block of gratable cheese and grate it.
We have at least 3 graters in the house..

I think this is a thing that immigrants have brought to our country. It is not only disgusting it is also erasing our culture.

Life isnt meant to be easy it is meant to be hard in order to make Calvinists happy.
I mean im not asking her to chuen butter. Nort of late anyway.

Is this sort of thing a problem in American homes..

What did you do.? I havent tackled her about it yet. She is a good wife in many ways.

Turdy the Luddite
Yes Turdy , saving time when the money is irrelevant is unknown in your tatty universe .
We are not all Hunter Gatherers and use low IQs like you to be of assistance and let you steal some of the cheese to keep you alive for the following day
Peasant .

I agree. We have eliminated most processed food from our diet. But grated cheese is only barely processed from block cheese and most people use it only occasionally so I don't see it as a significant problem to use as a little convenience that spares the cook a bit of time and effort. It is little different than buying sliced roasted turkey at the deli counter or a can of green beans instead of fresh. (We also are guilty of buying packaged corn chips for our occasional southwestern cuisine that is made mostly from scratch. And we usually have soda crackers in the house and our most guilty pleasure is ice cream now and then.

I guess I am pretty pragmatic when it comes to diet. We try to eat a healthy balanced diet using wholesome fresh ingredients as much as is reasonable but are not fanatics about it.

Its all around us. Hard to escape.

My experience is that shredded cheese is a little more dried out, but still okay.

I buy raw cheese from a Pennsylvania Amish farmer. He ages it 60 days and vacuum seals it. All types, but I swear I can hardly tell the difference (except when it's Jalapeno).

The farmer has no website. He has a phone, but you always have to leave a message. He even sends you the cheese and you pay him later. Pretty incredible. I'd like to visit his farm if I ever get the chance. Maybe on my way to the Baseball Hall.
