Pretty funny really that you hire Amazon to deliver a package, then it turns out their delivery guy isn't actually working for Amazon, which means he is just a low-paid contract worker with few benefits hired under outside contract. Probably to try to stay competitive with USPS, which undercuts its delivery costs through taxpayer subsidies, which Amazon has no access to.
Now Amazon has to call the contractor, and they must hunt down the worker, who may or may not still be working for them.
Better just hope the delivery guy wasn't some foreigner muslim who took the cat for their 3 day animal sacrifice ritual going on right now?

A few years ago, I had Muslim neighbors with a sheep/goat ranch behind my back yard. On Eid al Adha, one of them went out into the pasture & killed a sheep, beating him over the head with a club.
I reported it to the police, and the next day I saw 2 plain clothes detectives (badges on their belts) talking to the Muslims there. I don't know if they got fined or arrested, but the following year we noticed that they again killed an animal but this time, they brought the animal inside their house, where neighbors could still hear the animal's loud cries, moans & wails...
Thing is, no self-respecting pet of mine, cat or otherwise would just stand there and let a stranger pick them up and take them away.
