America has just been testing a lot more people, confirming a lot more cases than anyone else including Canada.

Probably at least partly due to Canada's risky socialized medicine scheme, where they don't want to give as many expensive tests.

The death rate per 100,000 people

Canada 21.5
US 38.3

That's the result of far more flights into America and far more people from different countries. You simply have more people that came from China and Europe and with such a highly contagious virus, more people can exponentially spread the virus. It works like compound interest.

What is important is understanding how one nations Wuhan Virus is a much greater death sentence and than another. Especially in Ontario and Quebec, than it is in America.

What are you doing to defend lives when someone gets sick that we aren't?

You assume the number of reported cases is an accurate reflection of the number of actual cases.

I would expect Canada to have a higher rate of infection because it is a much more urban country than the US. Canada has a higher percentage of people who live in cities of 1,000,000 or more than America. The virus has a greater chance of spreading in more dense areas. That's why cities get hit harder than rural areas.

Let's not forget the Communist Chinese assholes who started this whole thing. They contaminated the whole world with this disease and the last thing we want to do here in the US is elect a President like Biden who will kiss their ass. Democrats are dangerous.

Venezuela: 4779 cases, 41 death = 0,86 %
Germany: 194339 cases, 9024 death = 4,64 %

Socialized medicine is better than fat cat medicine, which would be killing us.

The number of cases doesn't include people who had it but were never tested. The CDC estimates at least 10 unconfirmed cases for every confirmed in America. A 5% death rate just isn't accurate.

Do you think Canada is testing at the same capacity you are? You can apply your own assumptions to the data here accordingly as well.

No I don't think so. I think America is testing more, mainly because IMHO, Canada's managed care system doesn't see the point of authorizing the tests as much of the time.

The Kung Flu really doesn't have a recognized specific treatment in Canada- although here in America hydroxychloroquine and zinc are sometime used. So what's the point- from the patient's perspective- in testing in most cases.
