Most of the population in Australia is on the S. East coast near New Zealand.
Most of the rest of Australia is desert or "wasteland". Some tree populated areas, but those are near the coast.

Canadians have been leaving that country for many decades now, because their government is more corrupt than Russia, China, and America combined!
