Pretty damn hard to make six figures as a server. Just putting some numbers to that, it is going to take about two thousand a week to hit six figures. If the server averages 15%, that comes to over thirteen thousand in sales a week. Even working six days, that is over two thousand dollars a day in sales. And while you might think that fifteen percent is a low percentage, at high-end establishments there is going to be a tipout, probably at least three percent and can run has high has eight.

And while you might think working in a high-end establishment with three figure check averages is the ticket, those places usually turn really slow. You would be lucky to turn your section three times during dinner. The key to earning money as a server is in the turn.
