‘I Have Agreed to Talk’

Democrats lost all trust and credibility when they voted for the inevitable failures of Biden and Kamala.
Absent inflation, which Biden had virtually no control over, Biden's record is quite good. OTOH, you folks voted for the most unqualified, unfit ticket in US history and the country is suffering the consequences.

It’s always been about the nukes
Trump said he obliterated their nuclear weapons program last year.

Of course, that doesn’t matter because what you guys say is totally meaningless.

He did. Again, it’s about nukes

Trump administration offers shifting narrative for U.S. war in Iran as Democrats pounce

President Donald Trump says combat will continue in Iran until U.S. “objectives” are complete. Those objectives and the justification for the war have remained fluid more than 48 hours into the conflict.

Trump and his proxies have not been aligned on their narrative, leading to confusion about how Trump and his advisors are defining the endgame for the escalating conflict.

Trump began a military buildup near Iran after promising dissidents “help is on its way” when protests against its government rocked the country in January. The stated justification since the attack began Saturday has whipsawed among preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, deposing the Iranian regime that brutally represses dissent, stopping an imminent attack from Iran on U.S. interests and following Israel’s lead.

The muddied messaging underscores a broader question of whether Trump is pursuing solely a military objective or full-blown regime change.

Like all liars the regime is struggling to keep its story straight.

One day after launching strikes on Iran that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and embroiled the region in war, President Trump told me this morning that the country’s new leadership wants to talk with him and that he plans to do so.

That's odd because Trump just killed the new leadership. The heads of who's left just got together today to elect a new Ayatollah and the building they were all meeting in just got blewed up! :auiqs.jpg:

Trump will not be talking to anyone there until our military has completed its decapitation of Iran's military.

Oh, those rascally Americans! :mm:

How was Iran an “existential” threat to the US?
Manhunt.

NEW YORK — The Iranian government ordered an operative to assassinate Donald Trump before the 2024 election, Manhattan federal prosecutors said Friday, the latest in a string of assassination plots directed at the former and future president in recent months.

Prosecutors charged Farhad Shakeri with murder-for-hire and providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization. He is believed to be in Iran and remains at large, prosecutors said.

The thing is you still need someone to talk to at the end to finish things off.

Most of the high level Generals are probably regime stooges, the question is do you have to kill down to the Brigadier General/Colonel level or the Major/Captain level to get to officers sympathetic to the people's wishes and not the Mullahs.

Was there an ‘imminent’ threat?

To invoke self-defense, the U.N. Charter requires there to be an armed attack. Customary international law broadly accepts that this includes a right to use force against an imminent threat of an armed attack, which in turn raises the question of what counts as imminent.

Since the attack, the Trump administration has gestured toward two versions of this argument. One appears to rely on a very elastic definition, and one arguably appeared to rely on circular reasoning.

In a video on Saturday, Mr. Trump declared that the objective was “to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime.” But he did not suggest that Iran was on the cusp of launching an armed attack before the strikes, instead saying it would be intolerable to allow it to build a nuclear weapon and long-range missiles.

On Monday, Marco Rubio, the secretary of state and national security adviser, told reporters that “there absolutely was an imminent threat.” He said the United States believed Israel was going to attack Iran, and if it did so, Iran would attack American bases, so the country joined Israel’s attack “proactively, in a defensive way, to prevent them from inflicting higher damage.”

Saying the rationale has shifted is the kind way to say it.

Whatever gets the UN to twist its tail and stay out of our way works for me.

The UN is more useless and pathetic than your dick.

It is too early. At this point, the people of Iran have not had a chance to build a new government so the only people to talk to right now are just more of the same people we intend to kill.

Trump left the Government intact in Venezuela to keep order, but I'm sure they have been told there had better be legitimate elections soon, and to stop messing with the opposition.

Here we are going to have to cut down deeper, but maybe bringing in the Shah and using the old Constitution from pre-1979 as a basis for a new one would be an option.

I'm actually assuming this will be the path. A Constitutional Monarchy that hopefully will be friendly to the West.

“Everything Trump says comes true”

Except when it doesn’t and MAGA will make excuses for it.
What's your excuse for Obamacare? Obama said it would lower cost, now you loons are complaining it's too high. Remember not one Republican voted for it.

Is this complaining, bitching, kvetching, or just standard TDS drivel?
The only thing Trump is willing to do is to play with himself, jizz himself over window drapes, play golf & stuff his yap with McD's cheeseburgs out of a feedbag.

Commander Daddy Bonespurs is the last person on Earth who should be commanding our Armed Forcrs in a war ANYWHERE, especially in the M.E. We are screwed every which way from Sunday.

Someone should give Bonespurs the board game RISK so he can get his rocks off playing Army General. He will save lives that way.

Iran thought it was negotiating the terms of its nuclear weapons development

Huh, democrats have been telling us Iran wasn't developing nuclear weapons....

The takeaway is when you have no cards you're not in a place to negotiate.
