Can people ever be united?

I like people. I respect them. I admire them. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, through adversity, impossible odds, and countless challenges. But sometimes it feels like we fail to see our connectedness. We’ve learned to fear, distrust, and even hate each other. The thing is, your enemy isn’t inherently evil. They just grew up in and understood a different world than you did. So I wonder, can this ever be repaired? Are we doomed to division and hatred, or is it still possible for humanity to unite, to discover our shared bonds?
IMO, it depends on whether people can agree on a commonly accepted set of facts. In the past there were philosophical differences on many issues based on differences of opinion. On government, public safety, education, etc. We largely got along.

Today, we can't agree on what to do about climate change because some think it's a hoax. We can't agree on how to conduct elections because some think the system is rife with fraud. Fact based evidence has been replaced with belief.

pedophile in chief,

rapist pedophile in history, trump.

Sounds like the above came straight from the manifesto of yesterday's deranged Trump assassin...

"I would still go through most everyone here to get to the targets if it were absolutely necessary (on the basis that most people chose to attend a speech by a pedophile, rapist, and traitor, and are thus complicit) but I really hope it doesn't come to that."

Sure we can. Two things have to happen: We have to dump partisan politics and we have to give up the idea that the government is there to force others to live the way we want. In other words, stop passing laws that half the country hates.

.

Definitely not someone who is genuinely interested in unity.

So Criminalize Private Firearms ownership , embrace Pathway ( Amnesty) and Decriminalize Pedo / NAMBLA / MAP activities and allow 4th Trimester Abortion and Sharia / Marxism ???

NOPE…We’re way past that shit. The inorganic unauthorized morphing of America is where the problem lies and it can’t be corrected. FORCED diversity and multiculturalism has destroyed us at our core. You’ll have to wait until good real core Americans are dead and the U.S. is predominantly occupied by Mexico’s people, ragheads, Africans, weird degenerates and homosexual freaks and then you’ll have that commie-lite America you unintentionally helped create.

This nation can be saved…BUT there’s only one way to do it. We have to segregate and segregate BIG-TIME. That sounds silly but it’s true…there’s just no other logical way…humans are just way too tribal. We’ve tried to tolerate each other long enough. It’s time to be wise and stop pretending like dblack does…it’s time to be bold and admit the Great Experiment has failed MISERABLY. The price to be paid for the failure is due. Now what?

People perplex each other to show each other their hatred or sympathy. Strong dare just attack weak oftentimes. Sometimes strong people make up with strong people in what are called even blows or hard blows.

Different opinion are the reason for the fight. Or the reason is different like knowing?

Some think differently, some think the same.

I agree with you. I would like to see a National divorce. I don't want to live in the same country as them.

Why in the world would you want all that???

Why?

I’m proud of how far we’ve come,
We are essentially unchanged, the same people as lived in the 12th century medieval times. Only thing that has really changed is our technology, but the people are the same. In fact, some few peoples on this planet may be basically unchanged over the past 40,000 years.

But sometimes it feels like we fail to see our connectedness. We’ve learned to fear, distrust, and even hate each other. The thing is, your enemy isn’t inherently evil. They just grew up in and understood a different world than you did. So I wonder, can this ever be repaired? Some of our enemy IS inherently evil. They CHEERED 9/11. They CHEERED Charlie Kirk's assassination. But will we ever all agree on everything? Of course not. The problem is not all uniting, the problem is some people simply cannot tolerate or live beside others who don't agree with them on everything. Leftwingers have lost all toleration for others. It isn't that we must all agree on things, just that the Left have lost the capacity to simply disagree and move on.

To the Left, if you don't agree with them on climate change, the planet is doomed. If you don't agree with them on politics, the planet is doomed. Meanwhile, they are the ones always trying to introduce radical new ways of doing stuff that is untried, untested, and has failed every time attempted, yet there they are shoving with both feet.
