Can people ever be united?

After decades of trying ti be reasonable with the left which was useless, Ive come to a place where I refuse to even listen to their BS anymore.

We are at a point that there can be no more negotiation with them. They use fear and violence as tactics to get their way. They use Govt as a weapon.

We are at a point now that if we only had black powder and bayonettes we would again be figjting in Wheat fields.
Your idea of reasonable is… do it my way dammit!

Some things the right has already compromised on far too much, and we got more and more bullshit as thanks for it.

How can you compromise with people that think women can have penises and expect everyone else to do so?
The one defining moment in my lifetime where I saw the greatest show of unity in this country was 9/11. Everyone seemed to be on the same page and political differences seemed to take a back seat. Since then? Its been all downhill and I have never seen the country so intentionally polarized.

I like people. I respect them. I admire them. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, through adversity, impossible odds, and countless challenges. But sometimes it feels like we fail to see our connectedness. We’ve learned to fear, distrust, and even hate each other. The thing is, your enemy isn’t inherently evil. They just grew up in and understood a different world than you did. So I wonder, can this ever be repaired? Are we doomed to division and hatred, or is it still possible for humanity to unite, to discover our shared bonds?
No.
