Britain's a dead nation, most of the folks there are superstitious and stuck in archaic 19th century thinking, which is what most of the propaganda and news in the US and Britain is marketed to, as well as the 6th grade reading level. (I could care less about Trump and his "evangelical" PR people).

Even archaic Baconian natural sciences and the level of information broadcast to the humdrum is outdated and a holdover from the 19th century; physicists such as Capra being publishers of more contemporary information; and I suspect that as an industry, Bacon's natural sciences and its inductive method will be outdated, and rendered a 15-16th century relic, akin to alchemy, to be replaced by more contemporary computer and informational sciences as the new front of discovery as per the Information Age.

When I'm old and truly retired, I hope to live to see the dissolution of Britain entirely and its archaic 19th century holdovers which the barely literate masses whose only source of information is news and propaganda for the 6th grade reading level, rather than books and education, such as the entrepreneurial minded Americans and Britain's; like the Ted Talk executives.

Whatever remaining informational holdovers Britain believes it has on the world will be obsolete, superseded by informational giants and social media corporations such as Google, Bing, and others; a new era of information and integration via cyberspace will unfold upon us, once an empire, Britain will be dead as far as history and the new world is concerned, learning that computer and information tech is mightier than the sword.

That's rather silly and false, as far as theologians go, whatever the contents or merit of their ideas, they were generally erudite and far more literate than the average person, akin to philosophers, whether "religious" or "secular", I believe there is worth and merits to their writings.

People who simply wish not to think deeply will simply turn a blind eye to it, and rebuff it with a simplistic oversimplification, not due to any inherent truth or quest for any truth or meaning, but simply due to convenience, and wanting to stick to simplistic, yet coherent and "functional" beliefs and axioms, preferring what Socrates would have called an unexamined life, and one debatably worth living at all.
