California Trying To Keep Valero Refinery Open

Something to look out for - California sells it to China - you heard it here first.

It is gut wrenching to see you floundering in the quagmire you got yourself into with lying. I decided to help you out. Here is the deal. Go to your neighbor, knock on the door and ask for a pair of big boys pants. Put them on, it will give you the courage to behave like a responsible adult, and admit that you lied. Then we will call it a day. Case closed.

The Orange Cheeto is right on something after all. You MAGAts sure are stupid. But he loves stupid people.

Just admit you are stupid and we can call it a day.

Sure, I will willingly admit you are stupid.

Very original, I'll give you that. You are so desperate in your agony that you don't even notice you are just repeating yourself. You seem to be lashing out in your anger. It won't change that you lied thus making a fool of yourself for everybody to see. It is your own doing yet you call people stupid hoping to divert attention from your lie. You lost your credibility with your lying.

Well, we do use CNA gas for our busses because Gasoline and Diesel do so much damage over a long period. I think CNA might as well but it's a good tradeoff. But if you have an excess of Electric Power, the EV type of bus is a much better alternative as long as you deal with a decent manufacturer. Using excess power to power your vehicles is always the best and the cheapest. So you intention is wrong for places like where I live.
the phone company tried using CNG vehicles. They go less than half the range of the pero-fueled vehicles they replaced. Technicians had to spend hours in lines at the one of the few CNG stations every day topping off their vans so they didn't run out of fuel during the day. Electric vans were worse.

You just pick the inlets that server no function other than the in and out of water. And then you leave a very large and well marked gateway. Seaman Terri, there is always a way and Norway along with others have done it successfully. Are you trying to say that they are smarter than we are? With your way of thinking, they just might be.
One problem with that is the California Coastal Commission controls everything from the mean low tide mark to as far as five miles inland and it doesn't grant permits for energy plant construction along the shorelines. Also most of the accessible shorelines are covered with expensive houses.

Without fossil fuels we would - literally still be dying at 35 years old living in caves

Or we could be driving EVs with 1000 mile range per charge and able to recharge in 10 minutes while on the road. While the Deisel powered cars were doomed due to a lot of reasons, electrics were being driven before the first assembly lined gas rig. What happened? The Oil Companies started to label all electrics as cars for women. And no man should be caught driving one. Meanwhile, they dumped millions into the infrastructure to use gas rigs.

Before the hiway system, even gas rigs couldn't be expected to travel over 20 miles. The Road and Kidneys just couldn't take it. So the Electrics had a 100 mile range (sort of like in the 90s). And all development was put on the back burner so the gas rig could grow. One should wonder if the Electric received the same push, just how good could it have been. We are almost right back to where the Electrics were in 1900.

The rare attempt by a state government to broker the sale of privately-owned infrastructure reflects its growing concerns over protecting fuel supplies in the most populous U.S. state and keeping a lid on prices, where California's nearly 28 million drivers already pay among the highest prices for gasoline in the country.

California's effort to save the refinery from closing also marks a shift from the focus of government policy in recent years to champion green initiatives and restrict fossil fuel usage, that has led to an often tense relationship between the state and oil companies, including the second-largest U.S. refiner by capacity.

The state's primary energy and policy planning agency, the California Energy Commission (CEC), has actively sought buyers for the plant, three sources told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

I am totally amazed at the stupidity of the state.

66 and Valero finally said "screw you" and Valero is considering shuttering it's Wilminton plant. These places run on shoestrings (gasoline is about as pure a commodity as you can find).

When these places finally do shut down, the coast is going to be paying 6-8/gallon or go on gas rationing.

All due to unfavorable approaches to the industry.

You get what you ask for.

Maybe Newscum can pull 400,000 BPD (a barrel is 42 gallons) out of his oversized ass.
So, what does it cost for car registration in CA? I looked it up:

In short: So, for renewal, the total can range from around $150-$300 or more, depending on the vehicle’s value and county.

28 million drivers paying, let's call it $200 average to renew.

That's $5,600,000,000 that these thieves take in, every year.

No
Because we would have never developed that technology because we would still be living in caves.
Mankind - 100% - needs to, and will get beyond fossil fuel reliance. PERIOD.
But it needs to happen as technology is formed, and perfected. NOT before. Forcing only leads to misery and some people even die.

In 1903, at the Autoshow in Chicago, there were plenty of Deisel powered as well as electric powered vehicle. There was ONE gas rig. Deisel was on it's way out and the Electric was expanding from the 20 mile total limit to over 100. What the Oil Companies did was force the Gas rig on everyone over the electric. Right around 2000, an EV couldn't make much more than 40 miles. Here it is, 25 years later and the EVs are making more than 300 miles and will leapfrog in the next year to over 700. And the Oil Companies will still be dumping billions making sure your in lockstep with them.

Hey, it's works well for Norway. There are still tons of ways to produce energy without fossil fuels being the major one. But you domestic terrorists, traitors and convicts prevent from happening.
Then why is Kalifornia panicked about losing a refinery: just use the sun, right Simp?

Do you know the thread premise...? Moron.

It's about the STATE of California trying to keep a huge refinery OPEN.

The state essentially was so unfriendly to refining, refiners said, fine.....go get it somewhere else.

The state looked at it and realized that they have nowhere near the supply, capacity, or infrastructure to replace that.

BTW Stupid: LA is six times the size of Norway.

The state is eight times the size of Norway.

Please think before posting.
That clown has never thought before posting. He just regurgitates moron talking points he gets fed.
