Back in the USSR where there was rampant Socialism called Communism, there were no single family homes because when everyone is equally poor and miserable, then everyone had a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, 1 car, 1 tv, and 1 channel of news called Pravda(CNN now). Doctors made the same pay as bread makers, thus the medial facilities over there were atrocious and the lines in the supermarkets for bread were just as long as waiting in the DMV's today.

Unless something drastic happens, you may have stumbled on the future without knowing it.
Remember, California was taken from Mexico along with I think 7 other states after the Mexican American War.

Americans believe they are invulnerable, but Mexicans want it back and actually ARE taking it back but not through military force by by overwhelming occupation.

Many here would be shocked to be able to fast forward 100 years and see California along with those other states no longer US territory.
But it's not unthinkable as they overwhelm the US population or at least gain numbers that cannot be overcome.
We are witnessing what could be the dissolution of the USA....by invasion.
